Job summary

Lam Research in Oregon is seeking a Program Manager to drive Customer Change Control projects within Global Operations. You will coordinate cross‑functional teams, manage initiation through delivery, and ensure projects meet timelines and budget while delivering changes to BOMs and supplier records.

The role requires a bachelor’s in supply chain/engineering with 8+ years of experience, or 6 with a master’s, or 3 with a PhD, plus strong SAP MM/SD and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Maintain change records for supplier changes and obsolescence requests.
• Interface with CCC, Supply Chain, Product Mgmt, Spares, Manufacturing Ops, and Customer Services to track changes.
• Own Key Product Indicators (KPI) and deliverables for the group.
• Prepare part change notifications based on problems and proposed solutions.

The impact you’ll make

The Program Manager has a pivotal role in driving projects for the Customer Change Control group. You will be at the forefront of project initiation through delivery, using your expertise to coordinate cross‑functional teams and ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

What You’ll Do

• Controlled implementation of changes to the Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Analyzes reports and metrics to maintain process of record for customer, reconciles data variances and uses that information to guide the identification of deviations from process of record, and develops a plan with the team to inform customer of upcoming changes.
• Works with cross‑functional team to maintain change records for supplier changes, supplier POR changes, and obsolescence requests.
• Interfaces with CCC team, Supply Chain, Product Management, Spares, Manufacturing Operations, and Customer Services business group to track engineering changes.
• Own Key Product Indicators (KPI) and deliverables of the group.
• Prepares part change notifications based on problem statement and proposed solution.
• Self‑motivated individual contributor with the ability to receive little instruction on day‑to‑day tasks and general instructions on new assignments.
• Initiates new programs to support the strategic direction of the organization and engage in Continuous Improvement Processes (CIP).

Who We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or related field with 8 years of related experience; or 6 years with a Master’s degree; or 3 years with a PhD; or equivalent experience.
• Experience coordinating cross‑functional teams and influencing stakeholders.
• Analytical skills to interpret and utilize data to support decisions.
• Excellent knowledge and experience in life cycle analysis, Product Change Notification, Component Obsolescence Management, and Supply Chain Management. Problem Solving & Decision Making – Proactively identifies problems and drives solutions and makes decisions that are based on the values and principles of the organization.
• Proven experience in Program Management and Project Management in technical or operations programs. Good understanding of BOM (Bill of Material) structure.
• Proficiency in SAP MM and SD, MS Office Skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
• Proven stakeholder management skills in a matrixed environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to communicate cross‑functionally with a desire to work as part of a global team with high a degree of attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Semiconductor industry or global supplier experience is a plus.

Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on‑site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On‑site Flex and Virtual Flex. ‘On‑site Flex’ you’ll work 3+ days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. ‘Virtual Flex’ you’ll work 1–2 days per week on‑site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.

Salary

CA San Francisco Bay Area Salary Range for this position: Min $92,000 – Max $211,000

The above salary range for this position is relevant to applicants that reside or work onsite in the California, San Francisco Bay Area only. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role. Actual salary may vary from salary offered due to numerous factors including but not limited to unpaid time off, unpaid leave, company mandated shutdown, and other relevant factors.
