Job summary

Convergint Technologies LLC is hiring a full-time Project Manager to lead technically complex building automation, fire alarm and electronic security projects. You will plan, schedule, and direct projects, manage budgets, and liaise with customers to ensure safety, quality, and on-time delivery.

We seek candidates with expert PM experience in engineering contexts, strong leadership, and proficiency in MS Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Equal opportunity employer in US locations.

Qualifications

• Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 7–10 years in engineering, field service or project management with 5 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience in electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation preferred.
• Strong leadership, mentoring and staff development skills; effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, organize and direct, including application engineering, field installation and startup.
• Ensure projects stay within budgeted cost and time schedules with positive cash flow.
• Interface with customers to maximize satisfaction, safety and quality.
• Provide leadership to project teams and drive project execution.

What you’ll do with “Our Training and Your Experience”

Responsibilities include planning, scheduling, organizing and directing, application engineering, field installation and start‑up of assigned projects. Ensures projects are effectively executed within budgeted cost and time schedules and ensure positive cash flow. In addition, position is key interface with the customer and responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction, safety, and quality assurance on all assigned projects. Highest level of Project Manager has direct reports, high volume and/or critical accounts and customers. Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested or required.

What You’ll Need

Expert project management experience in a technical environment (building automation systems, fire alarm systems, and/or electronic security systems). Advanced coaching, mentoring, and staff development skills; solid leadership orientation – Actively seeks ways in which to act as a role model, guide, develop and mentor others within the organization. Excellent Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Power Point skills; solid programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions. Basic knowledge and understanding of IT networking principals. Advanced financial analytical skills including cost control.

Requirements

Education: College degree, trade school or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience: 7-10 years relevant engineering, field service or project management 5 years supervisory

Preferred Experience: (but not required): Experience in 1 or more of the following industries: electronic, fire alarm & life safety, and/or building automation

The anticipated compensation of this position is $100,000 - $130,000 annual salary. Please note that this job posting includes salary information for the assigned target market range within the primary geographic region the requisition is posted. If the position is posted in multiple locations or is a remote position, the salary range may vary. Individual pay rates will, of course, vary depending on the job, department, and location, as well as the individual skills, experience, certifications, specific licenses, and education of the applicant.
