Job Description:

Role Overview

seeking an experienced Design and Construction Project Manager II to support one of our Oil & Gas Energy clients in Houston, TX. This position functions as a key member of the Design and Construction management team. This Project Manager II will work on a team of project managers who will be responsible for managing capital project teams and stakeholders, ensuring all contractual responsibilities are met across design, construction, and implementation phases.

What You'll Do:

  1. Oversee project coordination, from pre-design to completion, managing schedules, budgets, and documentation for successful project delivery.
  2. Maintain clear communication with clients, consultants, and subcontractors, fostering teamwork and managing safety, progress meetings, and reporting.
  3. Lead project closeout processes, review construction documents, and ensure all requirements, including QA/QC, are met while coordinating site activities and permits.
  4. Responsible for conducting necessary site meetings such as assessment walks, pre-bid walks, pre-installation, mockups, punch list walks, or any necessary construction site meeting.
  5. Strong Personal Computer working capabilities in MS Office (excel, word, PowerPoint, Adobe Writer, Visio, and basic Windows environment).

What You Bring:

  1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. Other related industry certifications are encouraged - PMP, CCM, AIA, etc.
  2. OSHA 30 Certification (may be obtained within the first 90 days of employment).
  3. Design and Construction project management experience with new construction, renovations, infrastructure, and working in critical environments is preferred.
  4. Construction/project management experience working on projects that are adjacent to concurrent operations is preferred.
  5. Minimum of 4 years of direct design and construction project management experience in the Building Construction Industry.

Position Summary:

  1. Facilities Construction Project Management. Leads or coordinates construction projects, such as developing a new facility, the addition, expansion, or extension of an existing facility, or renovation/alterations to a facility in collaboration with project team, construction site and management.
  2. Can develop entry level project budgets, make project assignments based on skill sets of contractors & vendors, build entry level project schedules and timetables, and lead project responsibilities for team members for the duration of the project. Organizes and directs construction personnel and ensures that materials and equipment resources are delivered on time.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements:

  1. Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  2. Minimum Management Experience - 5 years.
  3. Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity within construction.

MUST HAVE:

  1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
  2. 4 years of direct design and construction project management experience in the Building Construction Industry.
  3. 3 years’ experience in a supervisory capacity within construction.
  4. OSHA 30 Certification (may be obtained within the first 90 days of employment).
  5. 5 years of Management experience.
