Foundation Personnel, a specialist recruitment partner to the Power Transmission & Distribution sector, is working with a leading utility electrical contractor to appoint an experienced Project Manager.

Role Description

This is an opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the successful delivery of substation construction projects based in Winamac, Northern Indiana. The role will be responsible for managing projects from pre-construction through completion while ensuring they are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.

Key responsibilities include

• Manage substation construction projects from initial planning through completion.
• Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work to establish project requirements.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
• Coordinate with utility clients, subcontractors, vendors, field personnel, and internal teams.
• Oversee project execution and ensure work is progressing in accordance with plans, specifications, and contractual requirements.
• Monitor project costs, schedules, and performance, identifying potential issues and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Participate in pre-construction meetings, project planning, and client meetings.
• Review change orders, purchase orders, subcontractor documentation, and project financials.
• Work closely with Superintendents and field leadership to ensure projects are delivered effectively.
• Maintain strong relationships with utility clients and other project stakeholders.
• Ensure projects comply with company, client, and utility safety and quality requirements.
• Travel to project sites as required to oversee project progress and support field teams.

Qualifications

• Previous Project Management experience within Power Transmission & Distribution or utility electrical construction.
• Strong substation construction experience is required.
• Experience managing substation projects from pre-construction through completion.
• Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, and field teams.
• Strong understanding of electrical substation construction and project delivery.
• Ability to work from or around Winamac, Northern Indiana, with travel to project sites as required.
