City of Wilmington is seeking a Project Manager to provide professional management and technical evaluations on capital improvement projects, shaping the future of the city’s infrastructure and public spaces.

Do you want your work to have a visible impact on the community you serve? The City of Wilmington is looking for a Project Manager to not only provide professional-level management and technical evaluations on capital improvement projects but also help shape the future of our growing coastal city. From Riverwalk expansions and multi-use trails to roadway improvements, parks, streetscapes, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, and public buildings, you’ll lead projects that residents and visitors can see, use, and experience every day.
You’ll have the opportunity to either manage projects from planning and design through permitting, or from construction, through closeout, while working with engineers, consultants, contractors, community members, regulatory agencies, and City leaders. You’ll balance technical expertise with problem-solving, collaboration, fiscal stewardship, and public service to turn complex challenges into projects that move Wilmington forward.
Here, your work has a visible impact. You’ll see the results of your decisions throughout the community and have a direct role in creating infrastructure that supports Wilmington’s quality of life, connectivity, growth, and future.
