Job summary

The Sterling Choice is seeking a Project Manager for a contractor delivering major water infrastructure projects in the DC region. You will oversee schedules, budgets, crews, and client coordination on heavy civil work.

Experience in water/wastewater, change orders, and closeout delivery is essential. DC Water familiarity is a strong plus; this role requires ownership of delivery and a hands-on approach rather than desk-bound work.

Qualifications

• Heavy civil construction experience required.
• Water/wastewater infrastructure experience preferred.
• Experience with change orders and cost control is essential.
• Ability to manage projects from award through closeout.
• DC Water experience would be a huge plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from award through closeout.
• Coordinate heavy civil construction, water/wastewater deliverables, and client communications.
• Manage change orders and project costs to meet budget and schedule.
• Lead project delivery across crews, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

Far fewer can manage a crew, a client, a budget, a change order, and a live underground utility project all at the same time.

I'm working with a contractor delivering major water infrastructure projects across the DC region.

They're looking for a Project Manager with experience in:

• Heavy civil construction
• Water / wastewater infrastructure
• Change orders, cost control and project delivery
• Managing projects from award through closeout

DC Water experience would be a huge plus.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk all day.

It's for someone who enjoys building projects and taking ownership of delivery.
