CenCore is seeking a cleared Project Manager to oversee day-to-day contract execution and armed security operations across two customer sites in Washington, D.C. This role is responsible for contract performance, site leadership, customer coordination, personnel oversight, schedule management, compliance monitoring, operational reporting, and issue resolution. The position is hybrid, with approximately 70% local travel between assigned sites and 30% remote administrative work completed from the Project Manager’s residence. The ideal candidate is an experienced security operations leader who can maintain a visible leadership presence, support mission requirements across shifts, and ensure consistent alignment with customer and company standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage daily contract execution and ensure operational performance meets customer, contract, and company requirements.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for armed cleared officer operations across assigned Washington, D.C. sites.
  • Conduct routine site visits, inspections, observations, and employee engagement to verify performance and compliance.
  • Maintain effective customer relationships through clear communication, reporting, issue tracking, and timely follow-up.
  • Oversee personnel coordination, schedule management, timecard approvals, and related administrative duties.
  • Identify, elevate, and resolve operational risks, staffing issues, compliance concerns, and performance gaps.
  • Support a flexible oversight schedule, including periodic evening, night, overnight, weekend, or after-hours site visits as mission needs require.
  • Use Microsoft Office Suite, UKG, SharePoint, and related tools to support documentation, reporting, scheduling, and operational administration.
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Seven or more years of project, program, or operations management experience.
  • At least three years of experience managing security operations, guard force operations, or a closely related armed security environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, criminal justice, security management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Documented firearms training, weapons qualification experience, and foundational firearms/use-of-force training.
  • Experience overseeing schedules, personnel, site operations, reporting, compliance expectations, and customer-facing communication.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule and periodically support evening, night, overnight, weekend, or after-hours site visits as mission needs require.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ten or more years of project, program, or operations management experience.
  • Prior armed security, armed guard, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Facility- or customer-specific security access training.
  • Experience using UKG, SharePoint, or similar workforce management and collaboration systems.
  • Strong leadership, judgment, and accountability in security-focused operational environments.
  • Clear, professional communication with customers, employees, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, mission-driven setting.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Sound decision-making, problem-solving, and operational risk management.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and consistency across multiple sites and shifts.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This position supports two customer locations in Washington, D.C. The role is hybrid, with approximately 70% local travel for site oversight and approximately 30% remote administrative work completed from the Project Manager’s residence. The position is primarily performed during normal business hours but requires flexibility to conduct periodic evening, night, overnight, weekend, or after-hours site visits based on mission needs.

The employee must be able to routinely walk, stand, and move throughout multiple work sites while conducting inspections, observations, and employee engagement. The role requires the ability to climb stairs, travel between locations, and occasionally lift or carry up to 25 pounds. The position also requires sufficient visual, hearing, and communication abilities to oversee security operations and respond to operational needs.

Compensation Overview

The anticipated salary range for this position is $115,000 to $120,000 annually.

Eligible employees may enroll in company-sponsored medical, dental, and vision benefits in accordance with plan terms and enrollment requirements. The company contributes toward employee healthcare premiums, subject to plan provisions.

Employees are also eligible to participate in the company's 401(k) retirement savings plan, including employer matching contributions in accordance with plan guidelines and eligibility requirements.
