Job summary

The JRC team is looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Certified Project Manager to lead complex, cross-functional projects that support our organization’s research, development, and product implementation initiatives. This role is responsible for driving projects from concept to completion—on time, within scope, and on budget—while ensuring alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations who will support Navy Strategic Systems Programs in the planning, coordination, and execution of the new Nuclear Sea-Launched Cruise Missile (SLCM-N) program. Through coordinationof technical and programmatic plans and documents, and the development of many different acquisition, programmatic, and technical products including but not limited to white papers, studies, briefs, talking points and schedules.The project manager will maintain awareness of program activities to ensure plans and schedules are updated appropriately and conduct analysis of these activities and schedules to identify conflicts and discrepancies and propose resolutions. The project manager will evaluate technical and programmatic risks, and work with stakeholders throughout the program to develop and execute risk mitigation strategies to ensure the SLCM-N program remains on cost and schedule. The project manager will also communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders to ensure programmatic and technical alignment and assist with issue resolution, to include hosting a regular forum with multiple external stakeholder organizations. The ideal candidate will proactively identify client needs, be able to communicate complex information clearly and succinctly, and drive issues to closure.

This position will also work with a highly skilled team, providing critical support to managers and team members, assisting in daily office needs, and managing general administrative activities, including data collection, data management, measuring and monitoring performance, schedule management, planning, updating government systems, and reporting program status internally to program management.

What You'll Do
Project Leadership & Execution
  • Engage interdepartmental teams to deliver projects with precision, efficiency, and accountability.
  • Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and timelines in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, assign tasks, and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
Financial & Risk Management
  • Conduct cost analysis and prepare accurate project budgets.
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure adherence to financial plans.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies; elevate critical issues as needed.
Stakeholder Communication
  • Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams, customers, and vendors.
  • Facilitate regular project updates and status reports to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to support product launches and training initiatives.
Compliance & Quality Assurance
  • Ensure all projects comply with applicable federal, state, local, and industry regulations.
  • Promote adherence to company standards, best practices, and contractual obligations.
Continuous Improvement
  • Evaluate project outcomes and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of project management methodologies and tools.
What You Bring to the Table
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field required
  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a cross-functional environment
  • PMP Certification desired
  • Prior DoD or Military experience is preferred.
  • Current Secret DoD or an Active DOE security clearance (or have held an active clearance within last 2 years).
  • Experience in an automated manufacturing environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and time management abilities
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and delegate effectively
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
  • Adept in utilizing project management software platforms
  • Familiarity with ERP systems

  • A master's degree in a related field
