Description

Position at Imagine Learning

Great Purpose. Great People. Great Opportunities.

Imagine Your Impact

At Imagine Learning, we empower potential in students, educators, and one another. Together, we are reimagining what is possible in education and helping to transform learning outcomes.

The Project Manager works within the Curriculum Development (CDev) department, managing the delivery of assigned projects from planning through to completion. Working closely with the Project Management Director, CDev teams, and wider stakeholders, this role is responsible for on-time, on-budget, quality delivery. The Project Manager keeps projects moving, problems visible, and teams aligned, always thinking imaginatively and critically about how to build efficiency, solve problems and deliver on time. This role works closely with teams based in the UK and US. Working hours are to be agreed, but overlap with UK and US teams will be required.

Envision Your Experience.
  • Plan and manage projects from initiation to close, covering resourcing, scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting.
  • Translate goals and objectives into clear, deliverable workstreams with realistic timelines and capacity estimates.
  • Manage competing priorities and dependencies across workstreams to keep projects on track.
  • Identify and engage vendors or external resources where needed to meet project requirements.
  • Ensure project milestones and outputs meet agreed objectives within scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Maintain clear visibility of project status and risks, communicating proactively to relevant stakeholders — including upward escalation of decisions or trade-offs where appropriate.
  • Identify and monitor project risks; develop mitigation plans as needed.
  • Create, maintain, and store all project documentation in accordance with version control and access requirements.
  • Ensure project goals, scope, and value are clearly understood by the teams delivering the work and the stakeholders receiving it.
  • Act as a connection point between CDev and other departments, facilitating collaboration and managing dependencies.
  • Use data and stakeholder input to inform decisions, track progress, and assess overall project health.
  • Adapt plans as needed over the project lifecycle, keeping delivery aligned with wider business priorities.
  • Investigate and contribute to department developments in AI, data driven project management and project governance.
Share Your Expertise.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, plus a minimum of 3 years’ project management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • PMP or PMI Agile Certification (PMI-ACP) preferred.
Key Skills Required:
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Smartsheet.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to identify complex issues and recommend practical solutions.
  • Background in educational publishing or digital/video production workflows is an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
  • Confident communicator at all levels, including with senior stakeholders.
  • Able to work effectively within a matrix organization, influencing without direct authority.
  • Quick to learn and integrate new concepts, processes, or tools.
  • Collaborative, self-directed, and comfortable working through ambiguity.
