Job summary

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of new facility openings and drive high-impact strategic initiatives as the organization expands rapidly across the country.

The role requires managing multiple concurrent launches with focus on quality, budget, and regulatory compliance, reporting to the CEO, and building the playbook for future launches.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field.
• PMP or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
• 5+ years in project management with multi-site launches, preferably in mental/behavioral healthcare.
• 3+ years consulting in project management or operational strategy in healthcare initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end planning and execution of new facility openings including site selection and timelines.
• Own launch budgets, readiness criteria, and go/no-go reviews with senior leadership.
• Develop pre-opening checklists and launch playbooks for repeatable execution across sites.
• Coordinate cross-functional readiness: staffing, licensure, technology, facilities, and marketing.
• Conduct post-launch reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future launches.
• Drive strategic cross-functional projects spanning program development and technology implementations.
• Partner with compliance, legal, procurement, healthcare operations, real estate and external contractors.
• Develop detailed project plans with milestones, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
• Serve as primary point of contact for project communications with senior leadership and external partners.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and manage scope/timeline changes with stakeholder alignment.
• Track KPIs and report performance, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Allocate resources across concurrent projects for optimal utilization.
• Mentor team members and foster accountability and collaboration.

Banyan Treatment Centers is seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of new facility openings and drive high-impact strategic initiatives as the organization expands rapidly across the country. This is a hands‑on, high‑visibility role for someone who thrives running multiple concurrent, fast-moving launches without sacrificing quality, budget, or regulatory compliance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Facility Expansion & Launch Management

• Lead end‑to‑end planning and execution of new facility openings: site selection, financial pro formas, timelines, and regulatory compliance (local, state, federal)
• Own launch budgets and readiness criteria, driving go/no‑go reviews with senior leadership
• Build and refine standardized pre‑opening checklists and launch playbooks for consistent, repeatable execution across sites
• Coordinate cross‑functional readiness (staffing, licensure, technology, facilities, marketing) to ensure on‑time, audit‑ready openings
• Conduct post‑launch reviews to capture lessons learned and continuously improve future launches

Special Projects & Cross‑Functional Leadership

• Drive strategic cross‑functional projects spanning program development, operational improvements, and technology implementations
• Partner with compliance, legal, procurement, healthcare operations, real estate, and external contractors to ensure successful execution
• Develop detailed project plans with milestones, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation

Stakeholder Communication

• Serve as primary point of contact for project communications with senior leadership, department heads, and external partners
• Deliver regular status updates, surfacing challenges and proposed solutions

Risk, Change & Performance Management

• Identify and mitigate project risks (budget, timeline, resource constraints); manage scope/timeline changes with clear stakeholder alignment
• Track KPIs and report on project performance, risks, and mitigation strategies
• Allocate resources across multiple concurrent projects for optimal utilization

Process Improvement & Team Development

• Identify and implement process improvements to boost efficiency and reduce costs
• Mentor team members and foster a culture of accountability and collaboration

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
• PMP or equivalent certification, strongly preferred
• 5+ years of experience in project management, including demonstrated success leading new facility or location launches and rapid, multi‑site expansion, preferably within the mental or behavioral healthcare industry.
• 3+ years of consulting experience in project management, operational strategy, or healthcare‑related initiatives

Skills & Expertise

• Proven ability to manage the full project lifecycle for facility openings and large‑scale, multi‑site initiatives
• Strong financial acumen: budget development, cost tracking, forecasting, and ROI analysis
• Ability to translate healthcare compliance, licensing, and patient confidentiality requirements into actionable project plans and risk mitigation strategies
• Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills across cross‑functional teams and vendors
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Monday.com, Asana, Smartsheet, MS Project) and formal methodologies (PMI/PMBOK, Agile, Waterfall)
