About the role

The Project Manager sets the standard for successful Professional Services engagements, ensuring that all resources on the implementation team and the customer stakeholders are aligned and advancing the project goals.This person employs best practices, Chevin implementation methodology, and superior communication and leadership skills to achieve timely results within scope and budget, while ensuring the highest degree of delivery quality and customer satisfaction.

The Project Manager is on-point for planning customer specific engagements as well as managing customer expectations, business requirements, and execution of deliverables while controlling scope, budget and timelines. This person keeps the engagement on track by executing change management processes, resolvingdiscrepancies, and clearing roadblocks. The Project Manager manages multiple concurrent projects as well as accessing other key resources across the organization to ensure successful project delivery.

What you will need to do

  • Proactively and meticulously manage scope, budget, timelines, and resources on a portfolio of projects

  • Meet or exceed utilization, customer satisfaction and other appropriate Professional Service targets

  • Establish and maintain robust communication cadence and content with the customer project stakeholders in both written and verbal forms

  • Set expectations and demonstrate execution by developing and updating critical documentation such as project plans, kick-off presentations, issue logs, meeting agendas, and solution descriptions

  • Schedule and facilitate a cadence of project meetings including kick-offs, status meetings, demonstrations, training, and others while documenting the agendas and meeting outcomes

  • Maintain a complete record of all project details in Chevin’s PSA tool, including resourcing, timesheets, budget, issues, risks, and milestones

  • Build an environment of trust with internal and external team members

  • Escalate any risks or issues with proposed actions internally at earliest opportunity, and then work quickly and efficiently to mitigate risk or resolve any customer escalation

  • Be fluent with the Chevin Implementation Methodology and be prepared to train others to leverage it

  • Guide the customer as they transition from an active engagement to post go-live support and customer success processes

  • Assist partners who are working with Chevin consulting to maximize their positive impact on the engagement

  • Contribute to continuous improvement of processes, procedures and our product through logging lessons learned and taking responsibility for implementing changes as agreed with the wider team

  • Build a list of referenceable projects that will speak on behalf of their experience with Chevin

What you need to bring

  • 5+ years of senior software implementation consulting or Project Management experience

  • Project history with Fleet, ERP, Asset or Supply Chain Management solutions for enterprise and/or public sector clients

  • Hands on engagement experience with the ability to collaborate across roles while managing multiple customers, priorities, and deadlines

  • Attention to detail documenting and maintaining project plans, risk/issue logs, action item logs, and project management tools to drive project success

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

  • Familiarity with software implementation lifecycle, methodologies and best practices

  • Ability to work well under pressure, with the resilience and drive to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong business acumen and the ability to demonstrate credibility to, and empathy with, clients from multiple departments (e.g. Fleet, Finance, HR)

  • Exceptional communication skills able to explain technical solutions to non-technical people

  • Demonstrated tenacity and sense of urgency to quickly identify, analyze, and resolve issues and roadblocks as they are encountered

  • Passion for customer and project success through outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and analytical skills

  • A positive mindset, high ownership and accountability, and adaptive nature ready for change and new challenges

As a bonus you might have

  • IT or business-related degree

  • Prince2, PMI or PMP certification

  • Experience with one or more of the following platforms: AWS, Azure, NetSuite, Oracle, PeopleSoft, Salesforce, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics or Workday
