RaceTrac Company Overview
Project Manager is responsible for providing direct support to strategic initiatives that span multiple departments and add value to the organization. This role involves overseeing the complete project management lifecycle for various projects, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring that project objectives align with the organization’s goals. Up to 10% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Support the entire project management lifecycle of multiple moderately complex projects from initiation through completion.
• Coordinate and communicate project plans, articulating roles, project goals, and timelines while incorporating project lifecycle models.
• Carry out project support functions as needed.
• Create, track, and adjust project budgets to ensure projects are completed within financial parameters.
• Serve as a mentor to Associate Project Managers and provide guidance in the project management lifecycle and functions.
• Present compiled research and analytical support to project sponsors and ensure buy‑in from internal departments.
• Administer team logistics, including team meetings, conference calls, minutes, action items, and follow‑up.
• Develop and maintain relationships between departments and internal stakeholders.
• Manage expectations for project sponsors, internal customers, teams, and vendors.
• Provide continual follow‑up to ensure internal customer satisfaction.
• Demonstrate conflict‑management skills and resolve disputes effectively between project teams.
• Proactively identify and resolve conflicts within project teams, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
• Oversee and define project measures of success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from a 4‑year college or university; preferred focus on industrial engineering, finance, business communications, or a related field.
• 2‑4 years’ experience within a business, consulting, or analytical role; preferred focus on engineering, finance, management, information systems, and/or business related field.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, proficiency in Excel and Visio, and proficiency in project management software, specifically SmartSheet.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• PMP or other relevant certification is a plus.
