Job summary

Sporty Group is hiring a remote-first Project Manager to orchestrate cross-functional teams in a software development environment. You will build plans that maximise team impact and work with Product to translate strategy into actionable roadmaps.

You’ll lead ceremonies, manage external partner outputs, and ensure timely delivery with a focus on quality. The role requires EU timezone availability, fluent English, and strong Scrum leadership.

Qualifications

• Must be based in EU timezone.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Degree or Masters in a business or technology discipline is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing teams in a scrum framework.
• Experience defining business requirements for software development from a customer viewpoint.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
• Experience working with UI/UX teams.

Responsibilities

• Build project plans that maximise utilisation of the team for impact.
• Partner with Product to translate their rationale into a cohesive plan (What? Who? How? When).
• Lead cross-team collaboration when initiatives span multiple teams.
• Coordinate deliverables from external partners as needed.
• Create and manage tickets to support the roadmap.
• Assign resources and schedule at project level.
• Drive process improvements around ETA accuracy and code quality.
• Provide on-demand, accurate status to stakeholders.
• Run all team ceremonies and meetings.
• Drive resolution of production issues.
• Maintain keen attention to detail and pride in the product.

What you’ll be doing

• Build project plans that ensure maximum utilisation of the team for impact
• Partner with Product to translate their ‘Why?’ into a ‘What? Who? How? and ‘When’ in a cohesive plan
• Where initiatives span multiple internal teams, the Project Manager leads cross-team collaboration, driving alignment and ensuring coordination
• Coordinates the deliverables from external partners as necessary
• Ticket creation and management in support of the roadmap
• Project-level resource assignment and scheduling
• Holds the team to a high bar, creating a culture of constant improvement. In areas such as ETA accuracy and code quality, the Project Manager identifies and drives process improvements
• Provide on-demand, accurate status to stakeholders
• Run all team ceremonies and meetings
• Drive resolution of production issues
• Have a keen attention to detail and be proud of their product
