Job summary

Jobtailor in the United States seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead multiple banking projects end-to-end. You will manage scope, budgets, risks, and schedules while coordinating with product owners, technology and operations teams, plus external vendors.

The role requires strong communication, governance, and Agile experience to deliver high-quality outcomes in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT, Finance, Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in Project Management, Program Delivery, and Implementations.
  • Mandatory Banking/Financial Services experience.
  • Experience in Commercial, Retail, Wealth, Treasury, Lending, or Banking Tech programs.
  • Experience managing multiple projects with varying complexity and stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of PM methodologies, governance, and delivery best practices.
  • Experience in Agile, Scrum, Hybrid, or Waterfall environments.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities to influence stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery of multiple concurrent projects, managing scope, schedule, budget, risks, and quality.
  • Drive end-to-end project implementations from initiation through closure.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, resource plans, budgets, status reports, and roadmaps.
  • Ensure deliverables meet business requirements, success criteria, and quality standards.
  • Partner with business leaders, product owners, technology teams, operations, and third-party vendors.
  • Serve as the primary stakeholder contact through communication, status updates, executive reporting, and issue resolution.
  • Facilitate steering committee meetings, governance reviews, executive discussions, and delivery tracking.
  • Identify, assess, track, and mitigate risks, dependencies, and issues.
  • Manage change requests and governance approvals; escalate critical risks and blockers.
  • Support Agile delivery and drive continuous improvement and process optimization.
  • Coordinate project resources and monitor budgets, forecasts, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure adherence to risk management, regulatory requirements, internal controls, and audit standards.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Finance, Engineering, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in Project Management, Program Delivery, and Implementations
  • Mandatory experience within Banking and Financial Services
  • Experience in one or more of Commercial Banking, Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Treasury Services, Lending Operations, or Banking Technology Programs
  • Experience managing multiple simultaneous projects with varying complexity and stakeholder groups
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and delivery best practices
  • Experience working in Agile, Scrum, Hybrid, or Waterfall environments
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with ability to influence stakeholders across organizational levels
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment
