Job summary

Protolabs in Maple Plain, MN is seeking a Project Manager to partner with Sales and customers to ensure orders are sourced and fulfilled on time and in compliance. You will monitor active orders, manage requests, foster strong relationships, and resolve complex issues across operations, quality, and logistics using in-house software.

This role requires 2–5 years in B2B account management or related fields, with strong communication, analytical, and PM skills.

• 2 to 5 years in a fast-paced B2B role (account management, customer success, or inside sales).

Responsibilities

• Support a portfolio of accounts; build multi-thread relationships with engineers, buyers, customer success, and supply chain stakeholders.
• Monitor active orders; proactively communicate risks; coordinate with operations, quality, and logistics to resolve issues and meet SLAs.
• Remain proactive in account needs to prevent poor customer experiences and obstacles.
• Partner with account owners and transactional teams to provide best-in-class service; support client meetings and ongoing projects.
• Monitor account and order activity and trends; contribute to process documentation and playbooks.
• Manage cross-functional relationships; ensure a coordinated customer experience.
• Resolve customer issues to manage nonconformance and quality concerns.
• Maintain project and/or program plans, timelines, and deliverables.

Join our team as a Project Manager!

This is a hybrid role being onsite in Maple Plain, MN on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

The Project Manager partners closely with the Sales team and customers to ensure orders are sourced and fulfilled on time and in compliance with requirements. This role is responsible for monitoring active orders, managing customer requests, fostering strong customer relationships, meeting delivery commitments, and resolving complex issues across multiple stakeholders. Using in-house software to manage customer inquiries, the Project Manager takes ownership of customer satisfaction throughout the production process.

What You’ll Do:

• Support a portfolio of accounts; build multi-thread relationships with engineers, buyers, customer success, and supply chain stakeholders
• Monitor active orders; proactively communicate risks; coordinate with operations, quality, and logistics to resolve issues and meet SLAs
• Remaining proactive in account needs to prevent poor customer experiences and obstacles
• Partnering with account owners and transactional teams to provide best-in-class service by helping support client meetings, supporting ongoing projects, and monitoring account and order activity and trends
• Contribute to process documentation, playbooks, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Manage and promote cross-functional relationships, ensuring consistent and coordinated customer experience
• Customer issue resolution to manage nonconformance issues and quality concerns, ensuring timely and equitable resolutions
• Maintain project and/or program plans, timelines, and deliverables
• May support individual customers based on qualification
• Represent the core values of Protolabs in all interactions
• Other duties as assigned

What It Takes:

• 2 to 5 years in a fast-paced role such as account management, customer success, or inside sales in B2B; manufacturing or technical services preferred
• Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills
• Proven ability to manage relationships with both internal and external customers

$50,300 - $67,100 a year

Protolabs offers a competitive total rewards package, and compensation mix vary based on position, such as base wage, as well as other earnings including incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, job function, work experience, specialized skills, training, education, and certifications.
