Job summary

Evergreen Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support a major capital improvement project at a pulp and paper facility in the Southern USA. In this role, you'll collaborate with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, engineering firms, contractors, vendors, and mill personnel to plan, execute, and startup a large-scale machine capacity increase.

You will contribute from design through commissioning, coordinate reviews and field documentation, and help keep the project

Qualifications

  • Project engineering experience on industrial capital projects.
  • Experience working for an owner or owner's representative.
  • Experience coordinating contractors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Support project engineering activities from design through commissioning.
  • Coordinate engineering reviews, RFIs, construction bulletins, and project documentation.
  • Work with contractors, vendors, engineers, and mill personnel to keep the project on schedule.
  • Review drawings, identify constructability concerns, and help resolve field issues.
  • Participate in equipment inspections, factory acceptance testing, startup, and commissioning.
  • Assist with outage planning, contractor coordination, and project execution.

Job description

Evergreen Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to support a major capital improvement project at a pulp and paper facility in Southern USA. What You'll Do

Qualifications
Required
  • Project engineering experience on industrial capital projects.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
Preferred
  • Background in Process, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
  • Experience in the Pulp & Paper industry.
  • Experience supporting construction, commissioning, and industrial outages.
  • On-site in Southern USA.
  • Project runs September 2026 through September 2027
  • Opportunity to support a major paper machine capacity increase from engineering through startup.
