Job summary

Spero Solutions is seeking a Project Manager to lead a design-build electrical distribution project at an active DOE facility in Western New York. This hands-on leadership role requires 10+ years running electrical construction projects and comfort operating within a federal/DOE setting with high oversight.

You will direct a core team of about 12, manage procurement tracking, daily reporting, and change orders, and work in Procore and Primavera P6 to keep the schedule and cost under control.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Project Management experience, predominantly electrical.
• PMP certification is preferred.
• Experience working in a DOE or federal facility construction environment.

Project Manager – Electrical/DOE Construction | Western New York

We're hiring a Project Manager to lead a design-build electrical distribution project at an active DOE facility in Western New York (near Buffalo).

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who's spent 10+ years running electrical construction projects and knows how to operate inside a federal/DOE environment — heavy oversight, high visibility, and no patience for anyone who can't handle a hard conversation.

What you'll do:

• Lead a design-build project spanning design through construction (~6 months total)
• Manage commodities/procurement tracking, daily reporting, and change orders
• Direct a core team of ~12 while coordinating daily with site staff, customers, and crew
• Work within Procore and Primavera P6 (cost-loaded scheduling)
• Navigate daily briefings and a high-oversight federal site with confidence

What you bring:

• 10+ years of Project Management experience, predominantly electrical (overhead lines, substations)
• PMP certification
• Prior DOE or federal facility construction project management experience
• Strong communication skills — you can hold your ground with oversight staff and still keep the team moving
• Familiarity with Procore and Primavera P6

Nice to have:

• Electrical engineering or field electrical background
• Active or recent DOE Q/L clearance
