GFT in Tampa, FL is seeking a Project Manager, Roadway to lead roadway projects within the Transportation Team. The role focuses on delivering safe, efficient transportation infrastructure and high-quality engineering design for roads and highways.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of design and project management experience on heavy transportation projects, a Florida PE license, and a proven track record delivering per FDOT standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related technical field.
• 10+ years of design and project management delivery experience on heavy transportation infrastructure.
• Proven track record delivering road/highway projects per FDOT standards (conventional and design-build).

Responsibilities

• Maintain close relationships with discipline leads and project teams.
• Oversee engineering design and delivery on roadway projects (conventional and design-build).
• Maintain high technical quality and meet design criteria requirements.
• Identify new business opportunities and participate in proposals and client oversight.
• Mentor staff and participate in hiring process.
• Serve as a functional manager for the engineering team and conduct performance reviews.

Whatyou’ll be challenged to do:

AsProject Manager, Roadway, you willbe responsible forroadway, municipal, transit, and aviation clients while also providing effective and efficient management of day-to-day operations within the transportation team.

In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible forthe following:

• Maintain a close working relationship with all discipline leads, department heads, other project managers, project controls staff, and construction personnel.

• Oversee and manage the overall engineering and design and delivery on both conventional and design-build projects for roads andhighway.

• Maintaina high levelof technical quality onthe projects.

• Take an active role inidentifyingnew businesses andparticipatein the proposal process andremaininginvolvedtotechnical and client oversight throughout the life of the project.

• Identifynew opportunities byleveragingprofessional networks in the region andassistingin growing the business.

• Mentor project staff andparticipatein the hiring process.

• Serve as a functional manager for an engineering team, responsible for career development and performance reviews.

• Provide technicalexpertise, ensuring the highest quality of engineering is put forth to meet all design criteria requirements.

Whatyou willbring to our firm:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineeringrelatedtechnical field.

• 10+ years of design and project management delivery experience on heavy transportation infrastructure projects.

• Experience meeting operational business goals, client management,winstrategies, and bid preparation.

• Must have a proventrack recordof successful delivery for road/highway projects according to FDOT standards – conventional and design/build project execution.

• Professional Engineering License in the State of Florida Required.

Compensation: The salary range for this role is $110,000 - $165,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
