Job summary

Jensen Infrastructure in Sparks, NV is seeking a Project Manager to design and coordinate multiple precast concrete product lines and ensure on-time deliveries. You will act as the main liaison among production, customers, sales, and engineers, shaping project contracts and schedules, and reporting progress to leadership.

You’ll manage large or custom projects, prepare BOMs, input data into manufacturing software, track take-offs and estimates, and ensure adherence to scope, schedule, and budget

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years of project management experience in precast concrete or building materials.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management.
  • Experience coordinating with production, sales, engineers and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Design and coordinate multiple product lines for precast concrete products.
  • Determine proper process flow to manufacture quality products and fulfill on-time deliveries.
  • Communicate with production regarding schedule requirements, with customers, outside sales, and engineers regarding contracts.
  • Report progress and challenges to the leadership team.
  • Manage and coordinate all aspects of large and/or custom projects.
  • Manage work orders and provide BOMs and drawings for production.
  • Produce accurate BOMs for structures and input into manufacturing software for cost accounting per job.
  • Manage project take-offs and estimating in planning and bidding stages.
  • Track and report project progress from submittal to installation via CRM.
  • Ensure deliverables stay within scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Prepare weekly sales reports for the Sales Manager.
  • Ensure contract terms and drawings meet requirements and estimates are accurate.
  • Communicate manufacture-ready date, order changes, and delivery issues to customers.
  • Coordinate delivery dates with customer needs and dispatch.
  • Obtain site specifications and safety standards for dispatch and crane operations.
  • Participate in entertainment with customers and at tradeshows to improve product knowledge.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOINGThe Project Manager is a key position at Jensen Infrastructure. You’ll design and coordinate multiple product lines for precast concrete products. You’re the point person who determines proper process flow to ultimately manufacture quality products and fulfill on-time deliveries.Reporting to our Sales Manager, you’ll communicate with our production department regarding schedule requirements, with our customers, outside sales, and engineers regarding project contract, with our delivery and yard departments for safe and on-time delivery, and report progress and challenges to the leadership team.A highlight of your day-to-day will include:Managing and coordinating all aspects of large and/or custom projects.Managing the work order process to provide accurate work orders and drawings for production.Producing an accurate bill of materials (BOM) for precast concrete structures being planned for production. Inputting BOMs into the manufacturing software to reflect an accurate accounting of the cost associated with each product being manufactured on a job-by-job basis.Managing project take-offs and estimating for projects in the planning and bidding stages.Tracking and reporting project progress from submittal stage to product installation via our Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.Ensuring deliverables fall within the applicable scope, schedule, and budget.Preparing a weekly sales report for the Sales Manager’s review and distribution to the team.Ensuring that mutually agreed upon contract clearly specifies terms and conditions and all products requested clearly specify requirements per drawings and plans so that the estimates are 100% accurate for each project in support of efficiency, accuracy, and deadline adherence.Communicating the date the product can be manufactured and ready for delivery, changes to orders, add-ons, and any other issues that may arise during the manufacturing process to the customers.Ensuring delivery date is scheduled per customer needs and delivered as requested.Obtaining project site specifications and safety standards to communicate with dispatch for offloading products, and understanding hazards for crane operators.Participating in entertainment functions with customers (e.g., lunches, dinners).Participating in tradeshows, seminars, and classes to improve product knowledge and/or personal skills.WHO WE ARE LOOKING FORYou’re enthusiastic and motivated in a fast-paced environment. You possess demonstrated project management experience, preferably in a precast concrete or building materials environment (minimum of 3 years). You’re a lifelong learner preferably with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management.
