Qualifications

• Proven track record managing steel fabrication or construction projects in commercial/industrial settings.

• Comfort managing multiple projects with attention to detail.
• Proficiency with PM tools, Microsoft Office, and project documentation.

Looking for a steel construction Project Manager who owns outcomes.

AMFAB Steel Supply is a rapidly growing structural and miscellaneous steel fabricator based in Scottsboro, AL. We deliver turnkey solutions—design/engineering assistance, fabrication, logistics, and installation for commercial, multi-residential, institutional, warehousing, retail, and industrial projects. Clients trust us because we hit the dates we commit to, solve problems before they hit the site, and deliver code-compliant, high-quality work with minimal punch lists.

We’re expanding fast and need an experienced Senior Steel Project Manager who thrives without micromanagement. You will drive complex projects from planning through erection, leading cross-functional teams and delivering results on time and on budget.

What You’ll Own

• Full lifecycle management of structural and miscellaneous steel projects (planning → fabrication → delivery → installation)
• Coordination across engineering, fabrication shop, logistics, and field crews
• Tracking material orders, lead times, fabrication schedules, and site deliveries
• Managing scope, schedule, budget, quality, documentation, and change orders
• Proactive issue resolution on design changes, site conditions, inspections, and logistics
• Clear, timely communication with internal teams, general contractors, architects, and owners
• Supporting safety compliance, risk management, and continuous improvement of our processes

Who We’re Looking For

We’re not looking for someone who waits for instructions. We want a **proactive, solution-oriented** Project Manager who anticipates problems, drives decisions, and keeps projects moving with minimal oversight.

Required strengths:

• Proven track record managing structural steel or metal fabrication projects in commercial, institutional, or industrial construction
• Strong planning, scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder management skills
• Expediting experience—tracking materials, managing vendors, and protecting lead times
• Comfort reading construction drawings/specs and coordinating logistics/erection sequencing
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities with high attention to detail
• Proficiency with project management tools, Microsoft Office, and construction documentation
• Clear verbal and written communication; collaborative but decisive style
• Understanding of safety standards and quality requirements in fabrication and installation
• Relevant experience (construction management, engineering, or equivalent hands-on background preferred)
• Takes ownership and runs toward problems instead of waiting for direction
• Brings solutions, not just status updates
• Comfortable operating independently while keeping leadership informed
• Values accountability, on-time delivery, and continuous improvement
