Job summary

Hill Construction Company, San Diego, is seeking a Project Manager to oversee high-end residential remodels and ground-up builds. You will manage schedules, budgets, safety, and subcontractors, coordinating with owners, architects, and the office.

This full-time role requires a bachelor’s degree in construction-related field and 5–7 years of direct experience. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project software, plus field leadership, is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-7 years minimum direct experience with project schedules, RFIs, estimates, budgets, and contracts.
  • Ability to read/bid construction plans.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of subcontractor scopes.
  • Ability to communicate with project owners, architects, and our office team clearly and effectively.
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Management Software).
  • P6/On-Center/Revit/Bluebeam experience a plus.
  • Sage/Timberline experience a plus.
  • Willingness to regularly visit and walk job sites as well as work in the office.

PROJECT MANAGER

Project Managers are responsible for onsite and off-site managing, directing, supervising and coordinating of the construction operations of high-end custom remodels and/or ground up construction. Project managers are in charge of managing Owner and architect expectations in order to ensure a good reputation and possibly future work. Project Managers are responsible for project scheduling, billings & budgets, field safety, and managing subcontractors. Project Managers have direct communication with project owners, architects, subcontractors and office.

Overview

In order to continue growing and servicing our clients, our San Diego team is looking to add a qualified and enthusiastic full-time Project Manager (PM). The PM is a critical component of our winning team structure working alongside Assistant Project Managers and Superintendents on various custom construction projects. PMs are responsible for the management of project documentation and helping ensure quality and contractual risk management throughout the project life cycle.

Responsibilities

Hill Construction Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers team up, alongside the Superintendent, to manage all areas of the construction process.

  • Purchase Order Management
  • Shop Drawing Management
  • Change Order Management

  • Submittal and Procurement Management
