Job summary

Scott Humphrey is partnering with a leading General Contractor to recruit a Construction Project Manager for their San Antonio office. The role oversees commercial construction projects ranging from ground-up developments to tenant improvements, with emphasis on scope, schedule, budget, and quality control.

You will manage preconstruction through closeout, coordinate with design teams, clients, and field personnel, and ensure safe, on-time delivery within budget.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of Project Management experience within commercial construction.
• Experience overseeing ground-up, renovation, tenant improvement, interior build-out, or commercial development projects.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction means and methods, scheduling, budgeting, and subcontractor management.
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Development, Design, and Preconstruction teams during project planning.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using MS Project or similar scheduling tools.
• Establish project objectives, execution plans, and project controls.
• Manage project budgets, contracts, procurement, change orders, and financial reporting.
• Oversee subcontractor and vendor relationships, negotiations, and performance.
• Lead project meetings and maintain clear communication with owners, consultants, architects, and field teams.
• Manage all project documentation through Procore and other construction management platforms.
• Monitor construction progress, quality, safety, and schedule compliance through regular site visits.
• Coordinate project closeout, warranties, as-builts, punch lists, and final documentation.
• Support due diligence, estimating, and preconstruction efforts as required.

Scott Humphrey has partnered with a leading and highly respected General Contractor to identify a Construction Project Manager for their San Antonio office. This role is ideal for a proven construction professional with experience managing a diverse portfolio of commercial construction projects, including ground-up developments, renovations, tenant improvements, interior build-outs, and commercial facility upgrades.

The Project Manager will lead projects from preconstruction through closeout, overseeing budgeting, scheduling, subcontractor coordination, quality control, safety compliance, client communication, and project documentation while ensuring successful project delivery on time and within budget.
