Job summary

Keel Midwest is seeking a Project Manager to ensure projects progress on schedule, budget, and description, coordinating with customers, suppliers, and internal teams. Responsibilities include kickoff meetings, creating schedules, and managing resources to deliver what the customer purchased.

The role requires strong communication, extensive PM experience in manufacturing, and the ability to work independently or with a team.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required; ideally formal training in management or PM.
  • Bachelor’s degree in management, PM, or manufacturing engineering preferred; PMP certification highly desired.
  • Must have 10 years experience in manufacturing (machine-tool) or equivalent PM experience.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in kickoff meetings with customers to align on scope and timelines.
  • Create schedules and action logs to track progress and inform stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with functional departments to keep product on schedule and within budget.
  • Help manage resources to minimize costs while meeting milestones.
  • Lead meetings to communicate progress and decisions with customers, suppliers and the team.
  • Facilitate routing and completion of alterations when needed.

Job description

Day Shift Monday through Friday 7:00 am to 4:30 pm.

PTO upon hire; Medical, Dental and Vision Benefits offered starting the first day of the month after hire; 401(k) after 6 months.

Overview

As a Project Manager for Keel Midwest, you will be responsible for ensuring jobs/projects progress according to schedule, budget, and work order description (i.e., delivering what the customer purchased). You will communicate and hold meetings as necessary with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to keep them updated and informed, and make any changes or decisions needed to facilitate them.

Job Functions
  • Participate in kickoff meetings to help the team become familiar with new jobs/projects in collaboration with customer.
  • Create schedules and action logs to keep personnel informed and updated on project status.
  • Work with functional departments to keep the product on schedule and in budget.
  • Help manage resources cost‑effectively.
  • Hold and attend key information and follow‑up meetings.
  • Facilitate routing/completion of alterations.
Physical Demands

Minimal physical stress, but moderate to high mental stress due to the impact the position has on customer satisfaction and future business.

Work Environment

Typical office environment. Some time will be spent on the shop floor, with exposure to debris, eye‑flash, dust and moving equipment; PPE is required when necessary. Visits from and to vendors are expected.

Requirements
