Job summary

Vavco LLC in the United States seeks an experienced Project Manager to support oil and gas EPC projects, focusing on quality, risk management, and schedule adherence.

You will develop scopes of work, create WBS-based schedules, coordinate with client reps and internal teams, and drive milestones to meet tight deadlines. Travel to customer facilities is required, and a PMP certification is preferred or must be obtained within a reasonable time.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree required.
  • 3-5 years of Oil & Gas Industry experience in an EPC arena.
  • Minimum of 3 years of Project Management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • PMP certification is preferred. If not a current PMP, will be required to obtain PMP within a reasonable time frame following date of hire.
  • Ability to travel to project sites and work in field environments as required.

Responsibilities

  • Understand and communicate client requirements and project risks to appropriate team members and manage all requirements to ensure client expectations are met.
  • Develop Scopes of Work and Work Breakdown Structures and estimate Task Durations/Effort.
  • Create high level project schedules utilizing the WBS utilizing gannt charts. Sequence project elements in logical order and time to align with client needs.
  • Gain and maintain alignment of scope and schedule with all team leaders and stakeholders.
  • Track project progress and review project tasks and deliverables to make sure deadlines are defined and met.
  • Assess project issues and assist in identifying solutions to those issues.
  • Organize, schedule and conduct regular status meetings with all internal stakeholders and client representatives. Communicate project progress, problems and needs through weekly reports with client.

Job description

Vavco LLC is a leader in providing engineering design, industrial and institutional power piping, landfill recovery systems, and construction and construction support to the energy sector. We have distinguished ourselves by delivering projects as specified, on time and on budget, for some of the biggest names in the industry.

This position is for an experienced Project Manager to aid in our project quality and efficiency. We are seeking someone with prior project management experience, as well as previous gas and oil knowledge. The ability to travel to customer facilities will be required.
