Job summary

You will begin at client intake and guide projects through production, owning Monday.com or another project tool. A bachelor’s degree in business or engineering is required, with 3–6+ years in project management or product commercialization in manufacturing (nutraceuticals, food, or pharma).

  • Timeline & Budget: Build project schedules, track milestones, and manage resource allocation using project tools.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Align internal departments—Sales, R&D, Purchasing, Operations, and Quality to meet delivery dates.
  • Quote Process: Work with procurement to ensure cost-effective execution and provide final cost model to finance.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a secondary point of contact for external brand partners, working closely with account management and sales.

  • Role Description The Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Pittsburgh, PA. A Project Manager for SDC will act as the primary link between external clients and internal teams like R&D, Operations, Quality, and Account Management.They will begin at client intake and follow the process through production.They will own Monday.com or other project management tool.
Key Responsibilities
  • Timeline & Budget: Build project schedules, track milestones, and manage resource allocation using project tools. Accountability for margin goals.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Align internal departments—Sales, R&D, Purchasing, Operations, and Quality to meet delivery dates. Assign priorities to meet client needs.Schedule and lead status calls to synchronize goals and update status across organization.
  • Quote Process:Work with procurement to ensure the most cost-effective execution of assigned projects collaborating to ensure the accuracy of cost inputs. Will provide final cost model to finance.
  • Client Communication: Serve as a secondary point of contact for external brand partners, working closely with account management and sales.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects.
  • Experience: 3 to 6+ years of project management or product commercialization experience within a manufacturing environment (nutraceuticals, food, dietary supplements, or pharma).
  • Technical Knowledge: Prefer familiarity with raw materials, softgels, tablets, capsules, or powder blending processes.
  • Skills: Strong organization, risk management, and proficiency in project software (e.g., MS Project, ERP systems)
