Job summary

Htprof is seeking a Project Manager to efficiently deliver customer projects. The role covers bid management, schedule creation, contract review, and resource planning to ensure on-time completion across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, service/installation, and accounting.

The candidate will coordinate with internal teams, manage multiple projects, and provide timely updates to the PMO and executives. 25% travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain project schedules with milestones and resources.
• Review contracts and negotiate with stakeholders.
• Manage contracts throughout project lifecycle.
• Provide updates on schedule and budget to PMO and executives.
• Report variances between progress and baselines.
• Prepare formal documentation coordinating with Engineering and other departments.
• Organize project information in PMO-approved systems.
• Visit customers for negotiations, kickoff, status meetings, and closeouts.
• Schedule and lead status meetings with project resources.
• Create and implement new project management processes.
• Coordinate with Engineering on internal projects.
• Manage bid schedules, review meetings, and approvals.

Job Summary of the Project Manager:

The Project Manager is responsible for efficiently delivering projects for customers. Responsible for bid management, schedule creation and management, contract review, and resource planning. The Project Manager will be required to ensure the timely completion of project activities involving engineering, procurement, manufacturing, service/installation, and accounting.

Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Project Manager:

• Develop and maintain project schedules that identify deliverables, milestones, and resource allocation
• Perform contract review and contract negotiation alongside Account Managers, Business Development Managers, and Market Development Managers
• Contract Management throughout the course of a project
• Provide project updates regarding schedule and budget to the PMO and executive management
• Compare and report the variances between the project progress and the schedule and budget baselines
• Prepare and timely deliver formal documentation for projects in coordination with Engineering and other relevant departments
• Ensure the proper organization of documentation including worthwhile account activities and project information in appropriate programs, as determined by PMO standards
• Visit customers as needed for negotiations, project kickoff, status update meetings, and project closeout
• Schedule and facilitate meetings with the project resources to provide project status updates and review upcoming project work
• Create and implement new project management processes
• Coordinate with Engineering to assist with Project Management for internal projects
• Bid Management including bid schedule, facilitating bid review meetings, and bid approval process

Education & Experience Requirements of Project Manager:

• o Bachelor’s Degree in an appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
• o 3+ years of project management experience
• o PMP is not a requirement but it would set a candidate apart from others with equal experience.
• o The ability to conduct business in a second language (Spanish, French, German, or Mandarin) is not a requirement but would set a candidate apart from others with equal experience.
• o Proven Project Management experience including accountability for the coordination and completion of projects on time and within profitability expectations
• o Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects at a time with excellent time management skills
• o Ability to function autonomously within job responsibilities
• o Demonstrated experience in the review and modification of contractual terms and conditions
• o Ability to understand technical requirements related to Project Management and contractual terms
• o Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• o Excellent communication and presentation skills
• o Proficient with Microsoft Office and/or Office 360 Suites
• o Advanced knowledge of Project Management software, preferably MS Project

TRAVEL

Travel up to 25%. This may include international travel and the occasional need to stay over weekends as bids and projects demand.
