Job summary

SN Steel Fabrication Inc in Ogden, Utah, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to own steel fabrication projects from start to finish. You’ll be the main contact between customers, GCs, detailers, shop, vendors, and field crews, ensuring schedules, budgets, and safety standards are met.

The role requires reading plans and specs, coordinating detailing, fabrication, materials, deliveries, and erection, and keeping stakeholders informed to keep projects profitable and on schedule.

Qualifications

• Experience in steel fabrication, structural steel, miscellaneous metals, commercial construction, or a similar industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field OR strong on-the-job experience.
• Comfortable reading plans, specs, schedules, and contracts.
• Organized and able to manage multiple projects at once.
• Good communicator and problem solver.
• Someone who takes initiative and follows through.

SN Steel Fabrication is a family-owned steel fabrication and erection company based in Ogden, Utah. We handle everything from in-house detailing and shop fabrication to field erection.

We’re growing and looking for an experienced Project Manager who can take ownership of projects and help keep everything moving in the right direction.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll manage steel projects from start to finish and be the main point of contact between our customers, GCs, detailers, shop, vendors, and field crews.

Day to day, you’ll be:

• Managing project schedules and budgets
• Coordinating detailing, fabrication, materials, deliveries, and erection
• Handling RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project documentation
• Communicating with GCs, customers, engineers, vendors, shop, and field crews
• Staying ahead of deadlines and potential problems

Who We’re Looking For

Experience is important for this position. We’re looking for someone who understands construction and can step in and manage projects without needing to be taught the basics.
