Job summary

DNOW is seeking a Project Manager to oversee day-to-day execution of customer orders, from release through purchasing, expediting, fabrication, testing, shipment, invoicing readiness, and closeout. You will coordinate with applications engineering and internal teams to optimize material flow and service quality.

The role requires a background in project management and sales, a strong sourcing mindset for pipes, valves, and fittings, and familiarity with SAP and MS Office.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience in project management and sales.
• Oil & Gas knowledge is preferred.
• Strong pipe, valves, and fittings sourcing background.
• Proficient with SAP and Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

• Accountable for all aspects of assigned projects.

• Lead project-related conference calls with third parties.

The Project Manager coordinates and manages the day-to-day execution of various customer orders (Pumps, Instrument Air Compressors, etc.) and In-Shop Pump Repairs. This role takes the quoted scope from Applications Engineering and helps move each job from release through material purchasing, expediting, fabrication, testing, shipment, documentation, invoicing readiness, and final closeout.

Job Responsibilities

• Accountable for all aspects of assigned Projects
• Provide superior customer service internally and externally
• Strategically source material
• Help coordinate with internal support team order entry and item coding
• Develop strategic partnerships with suppliers
• Lead project-related conference calls and interact with all third parties involved in project management
• Provide reporting to project management team
• Be in compliance with all established SOPs
• Analyze and recommend areas where efficiencies and advantages can be gained by DNOW and/or our client
• Facilitate expeditious movement of material and paperwork
• Support other Project Managers and Sales Assistants as workload permits
• Exceed customer expectations in service requirements while maintaining 100% on-time deliveries and 100% order accuracy.
• Maximize operating profits while gaining market share through superior customer service.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor

Job Requirements

• Strong Pipe, valves, and fittings sourcing background
• 5+ years’ experience in project management and sales
• Oil & Gas knowledge preferred
• Computer skills (Microsoft Office - Excel and Word)
• Process, administrative, operations and SAP experience is a plus
• Positive and assertive attitude
• Detail-oriented, organized and analytical
• Understanding of and total commitment to DNOW processes
• Outgoing, service-oriented, self-motivated, and willing to receive direction
• Oral and written communication skills, both internal and external
• Relationship-building abilities with both customers and co-workers
• Goal-oriented with the ability to multi-task under pressure in fast-paced work environment
