Allegiance Group in Chicago, IL seeks a Senior Project Manager to lead high-profile federal construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, while building strong client relationships and leading project teams.

You will own schedules, budgets, procurement, subcontractor management, and financial performance, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with client goals.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Federal or government construction project experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of federal contracts, compliance, and project documentation.
  • Strong scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and contract administration skills.
  • Proven leadership to motivate teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead federal construction projects from contract award through final completion.
  • Own project schedules, budgets, procurement, subcontractor management, and financial performance.
  • Drive project planning, risk management, and change order administration.
  • Ensure projects comply with federal contract requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor progress, resolve issues, and provide updates to senior leadership.
  • Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation to ensure delivery.
  • Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction during bidding and planning.
  • Lead project meetings and build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders.

Are you an experienced Project Manager looking to lead high-profile federal construction projects with a well-established and respected contractor?

Our client is a leading Chicago-based construction services firm with a strong reputation for delivering complex federal projects safely, on time, and to the highest quality standards. Due to continued growth, they are looking for a Senior Project Manager to take ownership of major projects from preconstruction through closeout while leading teams and building strong client relationships.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead federal construction projects from contract award through final completion.
  • Take full ownership of project schedules, budgets, procurement, subcontractor management, and financial performance.
  • Drive project planning, execution, risk management, and change order administration.
  • Ensure projects remain compliant with all federal contract requirements, quality standards, and safety regulations.
  • Monitor project progress, identify and resolve issues proactively, and provide regular updates to senior leadership.
  • Review drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation to ensure successful delivery.
  • Collaborate with estimating and preconstruction teams during bidding and planning activities.
  • Lead project meetings while developing strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.

What We're Looking For

  • Experience managing construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Previous experience delivering federal or government construction projects is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of federal contracts, compliance requirements, and project documentation.
  • Excellent knowledge of construction scheduling, budgeting, cost control, and contract administration.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate project teams and manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
