Job summary

The University of Oklahoma invites applications for the Project Manager of the Oklahoma Center of ImmunoEngineering (OCIE). Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage a variety of projects to ensure financial, quality, service, and operational goals are met.
  • Oversee day-to-day management and development of project staff using performance planning tools.
  • Order supplies and resources to ensure OCIE has needed infrastructure.
  • Monitor timelines to ensure deliverables meet project specifications and deadlines.
  • Provide active tracking tools and risk summaries for projects; maintain internal/external communications.
  • Assist Co-Directors in overseeing the Alteration & Renovation Project and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Prepare annual project reports under OCIE leadership and Advisory Committee oversight.

Pay Range:Targeted salary of $72,500 annually, based on experience

Position Introduction:

The Project Manager for the Oklahoma Center of ImmunoEngineering (OCIE) will be the primary administrative personnel for the OCIE. The individual hired for this position will provide project management support to leadership ensuring appropriate and timely communications, developing project plans and milestones, and ensuring successful outcomes. They will ensure financial compliance and provide reports to project leadership. They will facilitate the organization of project meetings, trainings, workshops, symposiums, and other relevant activities.

Essential Duties

Project Administration includes:

  • Effectively manage a variety of projects to ensure financial, quality, service, and operational goals are achieved.
  • Responsible for day-to-day management and development of project staff utilizing development tools, such as performance evaluations and conducting performance management planning.
  • Order supplies, materials, equipment, and other project-related items, to ensure that OCIE has the infrastructure and resources required to perform its role.
  • Monitors project timelines to ensure project deliverables are completed on time within the specifications of the project.
  • Learns, provides, and adapts best practice examples from other organizations or similar programs.
    • Provides active tracking tools and risk management summaries for all projects designated by senior leadership.
    • Maintains effective internal and external communication regarding the project management efforts.
  • Assist the Co-Directors in overseeing the Alteration & Renovation Project.
    • Oversee and handle project administration communication (email/phone).
    • Keep projects in compliance with developments and/or changes in university or NIH regulations.
    • Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
    • Prepare project annual reports under the supervision of the OCIE leadership and Advisory Committee.
Financial Reporting includes:
  • Monitoring project spending activities and auditing for fiscal compliance with NIH & project regulations.
  • Preparation of financial reports for project leadership.
Meeting & Event Coordination includes:
  • Organize monthly meetings of project leadership and other meetings as needed.
  • Facilitate a series of monthly trainings/workshops.
  • Organize and implement an annual project research symposium.
  • Organize bi-annual meetings of the project Board of Advisors.

Other misc. duties as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 60 months experience managing/leading multiple projects.

Equivalency/Substitution: Will accept 48 months of related experience in lieu of the Bachelor's degree for a total of 108 months of related experience.
