Overview

Keller Engineers of New Jersey has an immediate opening for a full-time Department Manager with 15-25+ years’ experience to oversee and manage our projects while mentoring and growing our team of NICET certified construction management/inspection professionals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage projects for transportation agencies and municipalities (NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA, NJT, counties, and municipalities).
• Mentor and grow NICET-certified construction management/inspection staff.
• Contribute to business development efforts and proposals to bring in new work.
• Manage quality assurance/quality control, contract negotiations, cost control, and construction administration.
• Possess or develop strong relationships within the transportation engineering community; operate in a Resident Engineer/Assistant Resident Engineer capacity if needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with a PE License in New Jersey or NICET in Highway Construction Level IV.
• Surface transportation (infrastructure) agency experience (NJDOT, NJTA, SJTA, NJT, counties, and municipalities).
• Successful track record in proposal development and business development.
• Ability to manage agency-led construction projects for the listed clientele.
• Experience with QA/QC, contract negotiations, cost control, and construction administration.
• Strong embedded relationships with the transportation engineering community.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
