Job summary

APTIM is seeking a Project Manager with Remediation Design and Construction experience to support ongoing project work in the New York City area. The ideal candidate will be a New York registered Professional Engineer with a proven track record in managing large federal remedial construction projects, including monitoring and quality control.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute projects per policies, procedures, and requirements.
  • Lead project team across all phases from work plan to field completion.
  • Provide guidance to team and improve effectiveness.
  • Coordinate daily with client and site staff, including subcontractors.
  • Deliver project financials and deliverables on time or ahead of schedule.
  • Maintain project records per corporate policies and safety/quality programs.

Job Overview

APTIM is seeking a Project Manager with Remediation Design and Construction experience to support ongoing project work in the New York City area. The preferred candidate would be a New York registered Professional Engineer who possesses an established track record of success that has extensive experience managing long-term/large value Federal remedial construction projects, including experience with Optical and Vibration Monitoring and Quality Control Management. Strong organizational and interpersonal skills are a must, including the ability to communicate clearly and confidently, both written and verbally, to all project team members including client representatives, regulatory agencies, and community stakeholders. This is a full-time position

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
  • Project planning and execution in accordance with established policies, procedures, systems, and requirements.
  • Assembles and leads project team members in all phases of project tasks, from work plan preparation to implementation and completion of field activities.
  • Applies managerial and technical expertise to improve effectiveness and provide guidance to project team members.
  • Daily client communication and coordination with on-site project team and various support staff, including subcontractors.
  • Delivers project financials and deliverables on or under budget, and on or ahead of schedule.
  • Applies technical expertise to improve effectiveness and provide guidance to project team members.
  • Perform various project administration support activities from initiation through project closeout.
  • Manage project records in accordance with corporate policies.
  • Maintains strict adherence to company safety and quality programs.
Basic Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum of 15 years' experience in managing federally funded remedial construction projects; USACE project experience is preferred.
  • Possess a Bachelors' degree or higher in an engineering discipline.
  • Active New York PE registration is required.
  • 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER training with current 8-hour refresher certificate required.

As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay range for this position is $170,000-$190,000 annually. Compensation depends on several factors including: experience, education, key skills, geographic location of the position, client requirements, external market competitiveness, and internal equity among other employees within APTIM.
