Job summary

Five Rivers Analytics, an Akima company, is seeking a Project Manager to support missions at Kirtland Air Force Base, NM. The role plans, directs, and oversees contract performance for mission-support operations, interfacing with customer and leadership, and managing staffing, schedule, cost, risk, quality, and subcontractor coordination.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a technical field (or equivalent experience), 8 years of experience with 3 years leading teams, and a TS/SCI

• Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
• 8 years of experience including 3 years leading technical or mission-support teams.
• Required TS/SCI Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Manages day-to-day activities for a moderately complex Technical or non-Technical project.
• Oversees administrative/operational leadership of a project within program guidelines.
• Monitors work scope, schedule, and budget to remain defined and maintained.
• Coordinates between resource managers and supervisors, securing reviews and approvals.
• May conduct analyses to benefit future projects or programs.
• Applies comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
• Leads and directs other employees with authority for personnel decisions.
• Administers policies, evaluates results, and assists with budgets and strategic plans.

Responsibilities

• Manages the day-to-day activities for a moderately complex Technical or non-Technical project.
• Manages the administrative/operational leadership of a project within the program guidelines set by the Program Manager and customer.
• Monitors project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintained.
• Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received.
• May conduct performance/project analyses to benefit future/other projects/missions/programs.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.
• Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.
• Administers departmental policies and procedures, evaluates results and performance, and assists with the development of new or modified budgets, strategic plans, or policies.
