Job summary

ConeCraft LLC in Missouri seeks a Project Manager to coordinate jobs between customers, engineering, production and shipping. You will organize resources to complete projects within defined scope, quality, time and cost, envisioning the full lifecycle and driving realization of that vision.

You will monitor schedules, manage risks, communicate with customers, vendors and internal teams, and ensure accurate records and billing readiness.

  • Initiate, plan, execute, monitor and close jobs.
  • Serve as primary customer contact and keep them informed of issues.
  • Maintain records for assigned jobs.
  • Identify, negotiate, schedule materials and outside services.
  • Process orders and compare with estimates for conflicts.
  • Prepare job for billing and communicate with accounting.
  • Ensure proper closure and archival of records.
  • Follow safety rules.

Job description

The Project Manager is one of the key people coordinating jobs between the customer, engineering, production and shipping. Organizes monitors and manages resources in such a way that the project is completed within defined scope, quality, time and cost constraints. Must be able to envision the entire project from start to finish and to have the ability to ensure that this vision is realized. Seldom participates directly in the activities that produce the result but rather strives to maintain the progress and productive mutual interaction of various parties in such a way that overall risk of failure is reduced.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Monitoring the job production schedule and have ownership of each job from inception until delivery to the customer.
  • Responsible for initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and closing jobs.
  • Serve as primary contact with customers and keeps them informed of any potential problems.
  • Primary source of information for assigned jobs.
  • Controls and minimizes risks throughout the lifetime of the project.
  • Make decisions in a way that directly benefits the project.
  • Keeps accurate records of all customer materials received.
  • Identify, negotiate purchase and schedule any job-specific materials and outside services.
  • Process orders and compare them with job estimates to identify conflicts or inconsistencies.
  • Generate change orders as required and ensure customers sign off.

  • Prepare job for billing, check job pricing, change orders and other related issues and communicate to accounting.
  • Ensure proper closure and archiving job records.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly manner.
  • Follows and monitors all safety rules.
Required Qualifications
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, and Project Management software.
  • Experience using Syspro ERP systems, including Purchase Orders, Quotations, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and Inventory modules.
  • Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to delivering exceptional support.
  • Working knowledge of vessel fabrication processes.
  • Knowledge of ASME Code requirements for pressure vessels and tanks.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and collaborate with outside vendors.
  • Experience providing high-level customer service in a Business-to-Business (B2B) environment, including extensive phone interaction with customers.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to clearly describe products, equipment, and work processes both verbally and in writing.
  • Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.
  • Adaptable to changing business needs, priorities, and workplace environments.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain constructive, cooperative working relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues.
