Job summary

Blast It Clean in Missouri is seeking a driven construction project manager to lead our team and deliver projects on time and within budget. You’ll coordinate with clients, engineers, and general contractors to plan scope, resources, and schedules.

This role requires hands-on leadership, strong safety discipline, and the ability to manage sandblasting and painting tasks, budgets, permits, and reporting to stakeholders. Evening/weekend work and travel may be required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in sandblasting/painting a plus.
  • Proven experience in commercial or industrial sandblasting and painting is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with clients, engineers, construction managers, and architects to plan scope, resources, and timelines.
  • Forecast budgets and manage project costs and permittings to code compliance.
  • Lead and mentor team members; maintain safety standards and clean worksite.
  • Oversee sandblasting and painting operations, surface prep, and coatings application.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
  • Communicate progress to stakeholders and prepare regular progress reports.

We're hiring a driven construction project manager to lead our team into a well-oiled machine! You’ll work with clients and engineers to make a plan for the entire project and then manage general contractors to make sure it’s done right. Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with clients, engineers, construction managers, and architects to determine the needed resources and scope of work, including necessary materials and expected labor required
  • Forecast monetary needs for the project and accurately manage the budget
  • Acquire the appropriate licenses and permits from the corresponding authorities and ensure construction is up to code
  • Establish organizational processes for tools, equipment, and vehicles and arrange for maintenance as needed
  • Ensure teams work to follow all health and safety standards to prevent injuries and obstacles to project completion, and quickly report any safety regulation issues
  • Perform sandblasting operations on various surfaces, including metals and concrete, to remove paint, rust, and contaminants
  • Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers or sealants as necessary
  • Apply paint and coatings using spray guns, brushes, or rollers, ensuring even coverage and adherence to specifications
  • Conduct inspections of completed work to ensure quality standards are met
  • Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Collaborate with project managers and other team members to understand project requirements and timelines
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior staff members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and teamwork
  • Stay current with industry trends and advancements in sandblasting and painting techniques
  • Perform tasks in confined spaces, at heights, and in elevators
  • Handle chemicals and other hazardous materials while on the job
  • Be willing to work evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays based on client and business demands
  • Overtime opportunities are available according to business requirements
  • Be prepared for potential out-of-town travel with transportation, accommodation, and per diem provided
  • Ability to lift 100 pounds or more is necessary
  • Adhere to all safety regulations on-site
  • Coordinate all construction timelines and operations into an intuitive plan, so the team is on schedule to meet deadlines
  • Establish organizational processes for tools, equipment, and vehicles, and arrange for maintenance as needed
  • Provide the cost estimate of the construction up front and accurately control the budget throughout the project
  • Obtain all necessary permits and licenses from the appropriate authorities and ensure construction is up to code

Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and time-management skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certification in sandblasting and painting is a plus
  • Proven experience in commercial or industrial sandblasting and painting
  • Strong understanding of surface preparation, coating application techniques, and safety regulations
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A valid Class E MO Driver's License and reliable transportation for scheduled shifts are required
  • DOT Certification is necessary, or the ability to obtain certification with in 1 month of employment
  • Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities, with aspirations for growth into a project lead role
  • Successful completion of a drug screening is mandatory during onboarding
  • Strong communication skills, organizational skills, time management skills and problem solving skills
  • A background check is required
  • Expectations for achieving $25+ per hour or higher within one year

$18 - $41 hourly yearly
