Job summary

What is the Opportunity?

As a Project Manager (PM) you will have overall responsibility for the successful execution of defined segments of work within the defined project, achieving operational goals for Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) of Safety, Quality, Schedule, and Cost. Primary responsibilities include schedule development and maintenance, scope/change management, budget management, organizational management and overall coordination of work groups (construction, safety, engineering, training, procurement, tooling, contracts management, project controls and key client stakeholders).

Responsibilities
  • Overall coordination of project work groups to ensure focus on execution goals and tracking of all actions and deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain schedules, review them for accuracy, and create action/recovery plans for schedule issues.
  • Validate and monitor project metrics (Safety, Quality, Cost, Schedule) for assigned work segments.
  • Identify resource constraints and report them.
  • Identify potential changes to work per the change management procedure.
  • Work with construction team to develop and maintain staffing plans and Manpower Loading Forecasts.
  • Ensure required materials and services are identified, ordered, and risks mitigated.
  • Lead a functional team of representatives from construction, engineering, client representatives, and other departments.
  • Implement the project readiness process for construction execution (e.g., Detailed Window Logic, Readiness Check Sheet Implementation, Report Card Status Reporting).
  • Attend and support project planning meetings, integration meetings, internal and customer reporting meetings.
  • Coordinate prerequisite and execution task readiness, including schedule and risk review meetings with construction management, supervision, engineering, quality, procurement, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure outage readiness milestones are achieved.
  • Schedule and coordinate readiness meetings, prepare and populate readiness check sheets.
  • Capture, assign and prioritize open items related to work start readiness and closeout.
  • Provide status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management.
  • Adhere to all policies, standards, procedures including Safety, Quality, Code of Conduct, Business Ethics.
  • Support Shift Supervisors and Superintendents with construction execution activities as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
  • Develop and write reports, business correspondence, and provide supervisory guidance to project personnel.
  • Administer succession plans and performance reviews, and prepare job descriptions and responsibilities for staff.
  • Ensure all employees are fully trained for their functions.
Citizenship Requirement

This position requires access to nuclear facilities and information governed by U.S. federal regulations. Applicants must be U.S. citizens to meet eligibility and security clearance requirements.

What You Bring
  • P. Eng and 4-year technical or business administration degree or equivalent. Alternate degrees/certifications with applicable experience may be considered.
  • Minimum 5 years project management experience, including 3 years in an Industrial environment.
  • Applied knowledge of Industrial project work, financial operations, project controls methods/standards, estimating and employee relations.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills (typical MS suite programs).
