Job summary

The HAHN Automation Group is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead complex technical equipment projects in a dynamic U.S. manufacturing environment.

You will guide initiatives from inception through delivery, coordinating cross-functional teams and maintaining rigorous quality and safety standards. Responsibilities include budget control, stakeholder communication, and driving continuous improvement while ensuring timely, cost-effective project completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Engineering, PM, Business or equivalent.
• 3–5+ years in project or account management in a technical equipment manufacturer.
• Ability to lead multiple projects with changing priorities and tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience tracking project financials and budgets; strong customer focus.
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine design.
• Proficiency with MS Office, PM software, and 3D design tools like SolidWorks.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring milestones, quality standards and agreed objectives are met
• Monitor budget (target vs. actual), manage change orders, ensure financial transparency and profitability contribution
• Plan and control timelines, capacities and resource allocation across project lifecycle in alignment with the functional department management
• Steer customer communication and manage internal/external stakeholders to ensure alignment and satisfaction
• Lead interdisciplinary teams (functional, not disciplinary), align interfaces, support performance reviews and employee development
• Ensure process adherence, occupational safety and contribute to continuous improvement and portfolio development

Requirements

Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience: 3-5+ years of project or account management experience from within a technical equipment manufacturer

• Strong planning, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects of various durations and complexity, simultaneously, in an environment where priorities are constantly changing
• Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to lead and motivate project teams in order to achieve project and overall corporate goals
• Strong customer service mindset, considering customer needs and concerns in decision-making
• Experience tracking and reporting on project financial management and budget
• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machine design to manage the development of complex equipment in a timely fashion
• Ability to identify, communicate, and manage project risks (technical, budget, schedule) in order to ensure project goals are met
• Ability to maintain positive relationships with project stakeholders, both internal and external, to foster collaboration and support
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Project Management Software, and familiarity with 3D design software—SolidWorks preferred

• Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet project requirements

Physical and Environmental Requirements

As a member of HAHN Automation Group, applicants must be able to interact safely in a manufacturing environment. This includes:

• Full body mobility with the ability to bend, stoop, climb, and lift or move 25 lbs. of weight
• The ability to walk within restricted areas of the company manufacturing plant
• Professional conduct in regards to hygiene and dress
• The ability to read and prepare business documents as well as conduct business over the telephone in a sometimes-loud environment
• The ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
• The ability to travel to customer, supplier, and/or inter-company sites via vehicle or airplane (both domestic and international)
• Valid driver’s license with driving record of acceptable risk as defined by HAHN Automation Group US’s insurance company
• Must be legally authorized to work for any employer in the United States now and in the future without employment visa sponsorship
