Job summary

McKenzie Craft in Miami, FL is seeking a Millwork Project Manager to oversee complex custom fabrication projects from initiation to install. You will partner with production, design, and installation teams to ensure precision, quality, and client satisfaction on luxury projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead projects from start to finish across multiple jobs
  • Collaborate with engineering, production and field teams to translate design intent into plans
  • Own the client relationship and manage expectations with architects and GCs
  • Develop and manage schedules and procurement plans; coordinate subcontractors
  • Lead RFIs and change orders, identify scope gaps and coordinate resolutions
  • Deliver projects that meet or exceed client expectations and drive closeout

At McKenzie Craft, we specialize in high‑end architectural millwork and metalwork for luxury residential and commercial projects. We're a team of passionate fabricators, engineers, and project leaders committed to precision, innovation, and exceptional craftsmanship.

We’re looking for a Millwork Project Manager to oversee complex, custom fabrication projects from start to finish—working closely with our production, design, and installation teams to ensure seamless execution, exceptional quality, and client satisfaction. This role is ideal for a seasoned PM who thrives in a fast‑paced, hands‑on environment and understands the intricacies of millwork production and site coordination.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead Projects from Start to Finish Own all aspects of project management across multiple jobs—scope, budget, schedule, coordination, logistics, and closeout.
  • Collaborate Across Departments Work closely with engineering, production, and field teams to translate design intent into detailed plans and actionable steps.
  • Own the Client Relationship Serve as the key point of contact for clients, architects, and GCs—communicating progress, managing expectations, and solving issues proactively.
  • Drive Schedule & Procurement Develop and manage job schedules and procurement plans. Coordinate subcontractors and ensure materials, submittals, and approvals are on track.
  • Manage Risk & Change Orders Lead the RFI and change order processes. Identify scope gaps and coordinate resolutions efficiently to protect timeline and profitability.
  • Ensure Quality & Closeout Deliver projects that meet or exceed client expectations. Lead closeout documentation and walk-throughs to wrap projects smoothly.
What You Bring
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience in custom architectural millwork or specialty fabrication
  • Proven ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously
  • Strong technical knowledge of millwork, materials, construction drawings, and fabrication processes
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel), project management tools, and construction software
  • Ability to anticipate issues and drive proactive solutions
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs
  • Occasional jobsite visits required; must wear PPE (steel-toed boots, eye protection, hearing protection, hard hat)
  • Must be comfortable working long periods in front of a computer
