Job summary

Fortis Native Group is seeking a Project Manager for a 100% onsite role in Miami, Florida. The candidate will report to the Program Manager and oversee multiple sites (6) including remote locations (3), ensuring schedules, budgets, and contract compliance.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of experience in managing mechanical services, HVAC knowledge, contract interpretation (GSA a plus), and relevant certifications. OSHA 30 (preferred) and EM 385-1-1 (preferred) may be required.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience managing a workforce providing mechanical services.
• Ability to read and interpret contract specifications; GSA knowledge a plus.
• HVAC and mechanical experience required.
• OSHA 30-Hour certification preferred.
• EM 385-1-1 certification preferred; CPR/First Aid certifications a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and develop project plans/schedules in accordance with contract SOW.
• Track progress and report back to leadership all findings in a timely manner.
• Adhere to policies and procedures to support project objectives and contractual compliance.
• Management of multiple sites (6) including remote locations (3).
• Coordinate completion of projects on time within budget and scope.
• Set deadlines, goals, and milestones.
• Assign responsibilities and monitor progress to identify efficiencies.
• Prepare reports for leadership regarding status of project and safety/compliance.
• Coordinate submittals with subcontractors and material suppliers; ensure accuracy.
• Maintain financial thresholds on all contract related activities.

Remote Status: On-Site

Fortis Native Group is interviewing for a Project Manager for our project in Miami Florida.

The Project Manager will report to the Program Manager. This position would be 100% onsite.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

• Define and develop project plans/ schedules in accordance with contract SOW
• Tracking project progress and report back to leadership all findings in a timely manner
• Adhere to company policies and procedures to support the achievement of the project objectives and ensure contractual compliance
• Management of multiple sites (6) including remote locations (3)
• Coordinate the completion of projects on time within budget and within scope of work
• Set deadlines, goals, and milestones
• Assign responsibilities and employee duties and monitor project progress to identify efficiencies
• Verification and responsibility on reports being sent to the government and Fortis leadership on all activities
• Prepare reports for corporate leadership regarding status of project, not limited to employee schedules, tracking of complete Service & Task Orders, Safety & OSHA compliance, etc
• Coordinating the submittal effort with subcontractors and material suppliers to ensure accuracy
• Ensure financial thresholds are maintained on all contract related activities

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

• At least 5 years experience in managing a workforce providing mechanical services
• Position requires knowledge and experience in reading and interpreting contract specifications. GSA contract knowledge a plus.
• HVAC & Mechanical experience (required)
• OSHA 30-Hour certification (preferred)
• QCM certification (preferred)
• EM 385-1-1 certification (preferred)
• CPR/ First Aid certified (preferred)
• Experience with MCMMS (preferred)
• Must pass both a detail background check, including a GSA suitability determination and a pre-employment drug screening prior to hire. Pay

$80,000 - $90,000 a year
