Job summary

OHLA USA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead complex construction projects, maintain client relationships, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will manage CPM schedules, review submittals, coordinate with vendors and subcontractors, and mentor the project team on contractual obligations.

This role offers a collaborative environment with opportunities across field office and active construction sites.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field.
  • 10–14 years of construction project management experience.
  • Advanced understanding of construction methodologies and subcontractor trades.
  • Proficient with MS Office; familiar with Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam; P6, HCSS, AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
  • Time management and ability to manage field office and site tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain project schedules, including CPM updates and schedule analysis.
  • Review submittals and ensure compliance with contract requirements and documentation processes.
  • Monitor invoice processing and maintain positive relationships with vendors and subcontractors.
  • Approve subcontractor payment requisitions and lead project coordination meetings.
  • Fully support the Quality and Safety Engineers and participate in project audits.
  • Ensure shop drawing and As-Built drawing development proceeds with project schedules.
  • Mentor the project team on contractual obligations and evaluate construction methods.
  • Assist with estimating bids, proposals, and change orders, and participate in technical discussions.
  • Function as the team leader and provide guidance to the project team.
  • Evaluate project data for anomalies or concerns and assess potential impacts.
  • Coordinate with legal and senior leadership to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
  • Support project execution in both field office and active construction site conditions.

The Project Manager is responsible for maintaining strong relationships with the client and key stakeholders and ensuring the project is completed on time and on budget. The PM will have expert knowledge of the contract documents and will provide senior management with accurate project status updates and profit projections.

Responsibilities

Qualifications
  • Education: bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field
  • Experience: 10-14 years of experience
  • Advanced understanding of construction methodologies. Advanced knowledge of subcontractor trades work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook). Knowledge of working with Adobe Acrobat or Bluebeam. Working knowledge/understanding of P6, HCSS, and AutoCAD.
  • Communication: effective/clear communication in verbal/written
  • Team Leader/Player: Understands individual strengths and weaknesses and works with them to improve their skillsets.
  • Time Management: Self-disciplined to complete assigned tasks within required time frame. Ensure tasks for the day are completed before the shift ends. Confirm with team that assigned tasks were completed. Relay accurate information to upper management in a timely manner.
  • Open to carrying out various tasks in both field office capacity and outside at the project site.
