We currently have an opportunity for a Project Manager in the Greater Chicago Area. The primary objective of this position is to lead a construction team focused on general civil contracting in the areas of road and bridge construction, utilities, and site work. Duties will be performed in both the company office and at the construction job sites.

Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret drawings and specifications.
  • Develop, maintain and update construction cost-loaded and resource-loaded CPM schedules.
  • Prepare monthly schedule reports and narratives.
  • Create and update two‑week look‑ahead schedules.
  • Prepare construction plans, safety procedures, etc.
  • Prepare and update construction cost reports and labor productivity reports.
  • Prepare and track requests for information (RFIs), change orders, correspondence and other transmittals using project management software programs.
  • Determine quantities of work performed and prepare monthly payment requisitions for both the Owner contract and all subcontracts and purchase orders.
  • Review and approve material and subcontractor invoices.
  • Supervise the work of project engineers and field engineers and coordinate with superintendents.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Heavy Civil Construction background with 10+ years field experience.
  • Highly proficient in standard business software (Excel, Word, Outlook, Adobe).
  • Ability to read and comprehend construction drawings and specifications for all disciplines of work.
  • Knowledge of Primavera P6 scheduling program is a plus.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or MicroStation programs is a plus.
