Job summary

JLL in Menlo Park, CA seeks a Project Manager to deliver complex projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality within schedule and budget. You will collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams, and lead project support staff to achieve outstanding results.

Responsibilities include thorough planning, risk management, financial tracking, and continuous improvement to elevate client experience. A PMP is preferred, with 4–6 years in real estate or construction.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field.
4-6 years of project management experience, preferably in real estate or construction.
Proficiency in project management software and PM practices.
Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills.
Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Deliver projects from inception to completion within time and budget.
Build relationships with clients, stakeholders, and teams.
Lead project support teams and foster collaboration.

What your day-to-day will look like

Delivering projects: Successfully managing and leading projects from inception to completion, ensuring the highest quality delivery within agreed timelines and budgets.
Stakeholder management: Building strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
Team leadership: Leading and motivating project support teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and empowering individuals to achieve their best performance.
Project planning and monitoring: Developing comprehensive project plans, tracking progress, and proactively identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
Budget and cost management: Tracking project finances, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints, providing accurate cost forecasts, identifying cost risks and reporting progress to stakeholders.
Quality control: Implementing robust quality control measures to ensure project deliverables meet the highest standards and client expectations.
Continuous improvement: Identifying opportunities for process enhancements, implementing innovative project management practices, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Required qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in project management, preferably in the real estate or construction industry.
Proficiency in project management software.
Strong knowledge of project management principles and best practices.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Proven ability to create clear and concise reporting for stakeholders.
Proven ability to lead and motivate project teams, ensuring high levels of engagement and performance.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Preferred qualifications

Professional certification in project management (PMP)
Experience working in a global and matrixed organization.
Experience leading projects in multiple sectors, including office, retail, industrial, and healthcare
Knowledge of industry-specific building codes, regulations, and sustainability standards.
Familiarity with digital tools and technologies in project management.
Familiarity with AI tools and systems.
Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.

Estimated compensation for this position

100,000.00 - 134,000.00 USD per year

This range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ. Final compensation packages are determined by various considerations including but not limited to candidate qualifications, location, market conditions, and internal considerations.
