Job summary

KMT Systems Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee commercial security and low-voltage projects from planning through closeout in the Atlanta area, with offices in McDonough and Marietta, GA.

The role requires organization, technical knowledge, and proactive ownership of project results. You will coordinate across customers, contractors, technicians, vendors, and internal teams to ensure schedules, budgets, and scope are met, while identifying risks and resolving issues before

Qualifications

• 3+ years of project management in commercial low-voltage or security.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specs.
• Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and schedules.
• Strong organization, communication, and ownership.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Experience with general contractors and change orders is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage security and low-voltage projects from kickoff to closeout.
• Review scopes, drawings, equipment lists, and labor estimates.
• Develop and manage schedules, manpower, materials, and milestones.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, technicians, and vendors.

Job description

KMT Systems is a family-owned security and low-voltage technology company serving the Atlanta area since 2005. We provide innovative security solutions including intrusion detection, fire alarm systems, video surveillance, and access control for residential and commercial customers.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage commercial security and low-voltage projects from planning through successful completion and closeout. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, technically knowledgeable, proactive, and ready to take ownership of project results. This role supports operations across both our McDonough and Marietta, GA offices

What You'll Do

• Manage commercial access control, video surveillance, intrusion alarm, and structured cabling projects from sales handoff through closeout.
• Review scopes of work, drawings, specifications, equipment lists, labor estimates, and customer requirements before project kickoff.
• Develop and manage project schedules, manpower needs, materials, milestones, and completion targets.
• Coordinate with customers, general contractors, technicians, subcontractors, vendors, Sales, Operations, and Warehouse teams.
• Monitor labor hours, materials, project costs, and job performance to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
• Identify scope changes and ensure change orders are documented and approved.
• Conduct site visits as needed to verify progress, quality, and project conditions.
• Proactively identify risks, resolve field issues, and communicate schedule or scope concerns before they become larger problems.
• Manage project documentation, punch lists, customer training, system documentation, and final closeout.

What We're Looking For

• 3+ years of project management, field leadership, or equivalent experience in commercial low-voltage, security, electrical, construction, or a related industry.
• Working knowledge of commercial security and low-voltage systems, including access control, CCTV/VMS, intrusion alarms, and structured cabling.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, floor plans, scopes of work, and project specifications.
• Experience managing multiple projects, schedules, labor budgets, and customer expectations.
• Strong organization, communication, problem-solving, and follow-through.
• A high level of ownership and accountability with the ability to anticipate problems and drive issues to resolution.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience working with general contractors, project/job costing, change orders, and commercial security projects. Industry or manufacturer certifications such as PMP, BICSI, PDK, Alarm.com, CDVI, Lenel, Genetec, or Avigilon are a plus.
