Job summary

Imperium Global is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead end-to-end delivery of high-voltage substation projects across the Washington, DC and Richmond, VA corridors. You will manage planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and to quality standards.

Ideal candidates possess 5+ years in substation or T&D, with strong leadership, stakeholder management, and a proven PM track record.

Qualifications

• 5-15+ years of experience in substation or transmission & distribution (T&D).
• Proven track record in project management roles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, multi-disciplinary projects.
• Solid understanding of project controls, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
• Experience with utilities, EPC contractors, or large infrastructure clients.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willingness to travel across the East Coast (Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania).

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project management of multiple high-voltage substation projects
• Oversee all phases including planning, procurement, construction, commissioning, and closeout
• Ensure delivery of projects on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards
• Drive a strong safety culture in collaboration with field leadership and HSE teams
• Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
• Coordinate closely with superintendents, engineers, subcontractors, and clients
• Lead project planning efforts including scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management
• Manage subcontractor performance, contracts, and commercial obligations
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and senior leadership
• Mentor and support the development of project engineers and junior project managers
