About the Role
Our client delivers construction/energy projects for government and institutional clients. They're looking for a Project Manager to take full ownership of project execution from award through closeout — real end-to-end control of scope, schedule, budget, subcontractors, and customer communication, not a shared or supporting seat.
What You’ll Do
- Own project execution end-to-end — scope, schedule, budget, safety, quality, change orders, subcontractors, customer communication
- Act as primary point of contact for owners and stakeholders
- Maintain project controls: schedule, risk register, submittal log, RFI log, procurement log, change order log, meeting minutes, forecast updates
- Lead subcontractor coordination, field planning, look-ahead schedules, owner meetings, internal status updates
- Manage documentation requirements, site access, security coordination, QA/QC, safety submittals, closeout packages
- Identify schedule and cost risks early and escape with recommended corrective actions
- Coordinate with engineering, estimating, procurement, finance, and leadership to protect margin and customer confidence
- Keep project management software and files current and audit-ready
- Support monthly WIP forecasting, including cost-to-complete, revenue recognition support, and change order assumptions
What You Bring
- 10+ years of construction project management experience across government, military, healthcare, energy, infrastructure, electrical, mechanical, controls, or design-build work
- Track record of owning subcontractors, budgets, schedules, and owner relationships
- Experience on active government installations, preferably military construction
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, submittals, RFIs, procurement, safety, QA/QC, closeout
- Proficiency with construction project management and scheduling software, Excel, standard collaboration tools
- Preferred: PMP, CCM, OSHA 30, or related credentials
- Preferred: experience with solar, microgrid, BESS, generator, MV electrical, controls, CHP, or utility coordination
- Preferred: security clearance-adjacent, badging, Davis-Bacon, or certified payroll experience
