Job summary

Waupaca Foundry, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Project Manager to lead large complex initiatives across Engineering, Operations and Procurement. You will mentor coordinators, manage multiple projects, and drive cross-functional teams to deliver on time and within scope.

The role emphasizes liaison across departments, tracking progress, ensuring designs are manufacturable, coordinating outsourcing and supplier integration, and supporting continuous improvement in casting operations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or Manufacturing; or 4+ years related work experience.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and large, complex projects.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are achieved.
  • Serve as liaison between Engineering, Operations, Procurement, and Quality.

Project Manager
Job Summary

Manages large complex projects with limited oversight. Track and elevate issues to closure. Lead multiple projects simultaneously. Will mentor and support Project Coordinators and will lead and monitor cross-functional teams to ensure project deliverables are achieved.

Responsibilities/Duties
Cross-Departmental Coordination:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering, Operations, Value-Add Outsourcing, Procurement, and Quality.
  • Facilitate effective communication, ensuring all departments are aligned on objectives, timelines, and requirements.
Project Execution Support
  • Track and report progress on programs and initiatives related to the overall project management process.
  • Works with the engineering teams to ensure engineering designs are manufacturable and aligned with supplier capabilities and procurement strategies.
  • Monitor all project deliverables and ensure they are meeting the customers and organizations objectives
Outsourcing And Supplier Integration
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Value-Add Outsourcing teams to identify, onboard, and manage third-party service providers for machining, finishing, or other post-casting operations.
  • Ensure outsourced operations align with quality, cost, and delivery expectations.
Engineering Collaboration
  • Coordinate with engineering teams during design and development to ensure manufacturability, cost, and sourcing objectives are achieved.
  • Monitor and report that design for manufacturability (DFM) and value engineering efforts are completed.
Procurement Support
  • Work closely with procurement teams to ensure timely sourcing of materials and services aligning with project timing.
  • Ensure procurement teams strategy aligns with financial initiatives of the project
Process Improvement
  • Identified opportunities for process improvements that enhance efficiency and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Track and Support continuous improvement initiatives related to casting operations and post-processing workflows
Minimum Skills/Ability/Experience/Criteria Required

Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, Manufacturing) or minimum 4 years related work experience.
