The Opportunity:

Project Manager is a project leadership position with responsibility for architectural design and technical production of projects. Perkins Eastman covers multiple practice areas including education, mix-use, large-scale, healthcare, and housing.

We are seeking an individual with strong technical and communication skills working within the design team to create exemplary buildings, specifically healthcare and large-scale projects to suit clients’ and users’ needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the overall healthcare or large-scale projects through all design phases including client interaction, schedule and financial performance. Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills are essential.
  2. Assist Principal-in-Charge with generating Design Services Proposals.
  3. Understand contracts and run projects from inception through to project closeout.
  4. Manage project teams, determining staffing assignments required to meet project milestones.
  5. Responsible for all aspects of project management including budgeting, staffing, billing and consultant billing.
  6. Manage and/or generate details, both exterior and interior within a Revit context.
  7. Lead in coordination with consultants and design team.
  8. Coordinate material identification and specifications.
  9. Quality control of the contract documents.
  10. Lead all aspects of the Construction Administration phase including meetings, submittals and preparation of field sketches.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's or master's degree in architecture is required.
  2. Minimum of 6 to 10 years’ experience.
  3. Must possess OSHPD/HCAI experience to work on healthcare projects.
  4. Must have experience with small to mid-level healthcare projects.
  5. Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  6. Familiarity with Deltek Vision Software a plus.
  7. Proficient with computer-assisted design software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
  8. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software.
  9. License preferred.
  10. Passion for and fundamental understanding of sustainable design.
  11. CPHD, LEED and/or WELL accreditations, progress toward licensure (NCIDQ) are pluses.

Additional Qualifications:

  1. Must be able to interface with clients and maintain the relationship while managing the project.
  2. Must be able to put fee proposals together for projects.
  3. Must have experience managing the project budget.
  4. Must be able to contribute towards RFPs.
  5. Excellent communication skills are a must.
  6. Manage and assign staff on the project.
  7. Ability to do business development and bring in clients is a plus.

Compensation may vary based on the job level and your geographical work location.

Salary Range: $90k - $105k
