Job summary

Doncasters is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead all aspects of project delivery in Long Beach, CA. The role requires coordination with contractors and internal teams to meet scope, schedule and budget.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of project planning experience, strong communication and budgeting skills, and proficiency with Word, Project, PowerPoint and Excel. Relocation is not provided, and the position offers competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project planning experience, including full project cycle.
• Experience in project management, project evaluation and budgeting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Strong interpersonal, time management, problem solving and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Project, PowerPoint and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct all activities for full implementation of project goals.
• Ensure activities align with objectives and timelines and are achievable.
• Meet targets, budgets and timelines with reporting and evaluation.
• Develop and finalize project deliverables with the Site Management Team.
• Coordinate with General Contractor, authorities, suppliers and local site team.
• Participate, facilitate and take minutes at Project Steering Committee meetings.
• Prepare information and documents for project implementation.
• Maintain ongoing communication with all stakeholders involved in the project.
• Monitor progress and conduct regular project evaluations.
• Update General Manager and Steering Committee on progress.

The Role

• Plan, organize and direct all activities as required for the full implementation of project goals and objectives
• Ensure that project activities are consistent with the project objectives and that objectives can be met.
• Ensure the project meets targets, budgets, and timelines, with appropriate reporting and evaluation
• Develop, complete, and finalize all project deliverables according to the timeline with the assistance of the Site Management Team.
• Coordinate activities with General Contractor, local and state authorities, equipment suppliers and local site management team.
• Coordinate, participate, facilitate and take minutes at the Project Steering Committee meetings
• Ensure timely preparation of information and other written Documents/material as required for implementation of project activities
• Ensure and maintain effective and on-going communication with individuals and groups involved directly or indirectly in the project
• Continually monitor the progress of the project
• Conduct an orderly, systematic, and incremental evaluation of the project
• Update the General Manager, Site Management team and Project Steering Committee on a regular basis about the progress of the project

Interested?

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and including report writing, position paper development and publication/presentation of research results
• Excellent interpersonal, time management, problem solving and organizational skills
• Knowledge of Word, Project, PowerPoint, and Excel
• Experience in project management, project evaluation and budgeting in a manufacturing environment.
• 3-5 years of project planning experience, including full project cycle experience.
