Job summary

Lvi-Associates is seeking a senior environmental consultant in Ohio with extensive geology and hydrogeology expertise. The role requires leading investigations of groundwater, soil, soil vapor, and indoor air, and designing remedial solutions to protect public health.

You will manage projects, budgets, and people, while coordinating with regulators, attorneys, clients, and subcontractors. The ideal candidate has a strong writing background for proposals and reports, plus experience interfacing

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Geology/Hydrogeology or Civil/Environmental Engineering.
  • California Professional Geologist or Professional Engineer license is required.
  • Experience designing and implementing environmental investigations and remediation (chlorinated solvents experience desirable).
  • Approximately 10 years of environmental consulting experience.
  • Experience managing projects and personnel is required.
  • Strong writing skills for proposals, work plans, reports, and regulator/attorney/client communication.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including interaction with regulators, attorneys, clients, subcontractors.
  • Academic training and professional experience in groundwater flow and contaminant geochemistry.
  • Knowledge of California regulatory requirements related to environmental remediation and vapor intrusion; litigation support experience desirable.
  • Professional work and scientific ethics; ability to travel periodically.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement investigations of groundwater, soil, soil vapor, and indoor air to determine contaminant fate and transport and to design remedial solutions.
  • Manage all aspects of projects including budgets, personnel, and deadlines.
  • Interact with clients, their attorneys, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, company staff, and the public.
  • Write and review work plans, reports, site conceptual models, and other project correspondence.
  • Design, install, operate, and report on remedial systems.
  • Evaluate data to support litigation needs for clients.

Job description

  • 8. Academic training and professional experience in groundwater flow and contaminant geochemistry,
  • 9. Demonstrated ability to organize, analyze, and interpret data,
  • 10. Knowledge of California regulatory requirements related to environmental remediation and vapor intrusion, and
  • 11. Experience with litigation support is desirable
  • 12. Professional work and scientific ethics
  • 13. Ability to travel periodically
