Job summary

Digital Prospectors is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to lead a compensation and job architecture initiative in a fast-paced environment in Massachusetts. You will oversee project coordination, budgets, schedules, and stakeholder communications, acting as liaison among project teams, HR, and line management.

Experience with salary grade analysis, market benchmarking, and FLSA classifications is valued. Responsibilities include developing guidelines, toolkits, and communication materials,

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in compensation, including job analysis, job leveling, salary structure design, and market pricing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex compensation projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with major compensation survey platforms such as Radford/AON, Mercer, Pearl Meyer, or TSG.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial modeling, pivot tables, and statistical analysis.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to present findings and recommendations to HR leadership and executive audiences.
  • CCP certification strongly preferred.
  • Experience with HRIS and compensation management platforms such as SAP, SuccessFactors, or Payscale MarketPay preferred.
  • Familiarity with federal and state compensation compliance requirements preferred.
  • Experience in an FFRDC or government contractor environment highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day project coordination, timelines, deliverables, and stakeholder communications.
  • Serve as a liaison between project leadership, HR partners, line management, and other stakeholders.
  • Review project status, track milestones, and prepare regular status reports.
  • Identify project risks and issues, and help develop resolutions to maintain progress and alignment.
  • Support redesign and enhancement of the job architecture framework, including job families, career levels, title governance, and FLSA classifications.
  • Conduct analysis of salary grade and band structures, including market benchmarking and internal equity review.
  • Model financial impacts of proposed changes and help develop transition strategies.
  • Create compensation administration guidelines, toolkits, and manager resources.
  • Support communication and change management efforts to promote successful adoption of compensation initiatives.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teamwork to ensure project deliverables are completed accurately and on time.

Job Description:

The Project Manager will oversee and manage the operational aspects of an ongoing compensation and job architecture initiative, serving as a liaison between project management, project teams, and line management. This role will review project status and budgets, manage schedules, prepare status reports, and help resolve project issues to support productivity, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction objectives.

This project focuses on job architecture design, including the redesign and enhancement of job families, career levels, title governance, and FLSA classifications. The role will also support salary grade and band analysis, market benchmarking, internal equity reviews, financial impact modeling, transition planning, and the development of compensation administration tools and communication materials.
